Less than one percent?
Less than one percent between first and last… I had a harder time believing that than I did the eventual revelation that Eliot was the one with the lowest number of votes. Sob! Buh bye, Eliot. Wish you could have made it to the final two, but getting to see your mom enjoy your homecoming was pretty cool. I’m so glad he made it that far.
But now I get to sit and worry that Kat might actually win this thing. Because…Kat? Really? I find it so hard to believe Taylor didn’t blow her off the charts with votes. It’ll be interesting to see how Eliot’s 33% divvies up between the two of them. I know what numbers my dialing finger will be pressin.
On to the far more entertaining show of the evening….Amazing Race except I can’t MAC about the outcome yet. I only watched the first half. I promised my youngest we’d watch together and he had other obligations last night, so we only made it through the first hour. So tonight is Part 2. It’s going to be impossible getting through the day without someone or something spoiling the conclusion. But I’m going to give it my best shot.
The one thing I can say about Part 1 - What is this new thing with whining about gameplay on the Amazing Bathmat to Phil? I expect it from Poor Sport Monica, but of ALL the people on the planet, Eric and Jeremy are going to pitch a wussy fit on BJ and Tyler because of the “I think I saw something” comment? Really, Taxi Cancelling Guys? Really? THAT was what you thought was “playing dirty?” It is to laugh.
So glad Tyler called him on it, but wish Phil had pulled a Probst and force fed that comment right back to them. What asses. I try to like them, really I do. They’ve run an almost perfect race and have made it seem effortless. Have treated each other well throughout…but between the asinine girl commentary and then crap like this? Yeah, makes it tough to find the love.
I did like how, for ONCE, having an intimate knowledge of the country didn’t bite a team in the ass. With as much play as they were giving Tyler’s history with Japan, I thought for sure it was going to go terribly wrong. I was very happy it didn’t. Especially in the face of the Frats jerkwad behavior. Loved that the Hippies beat them outright on the paddle boats (which was hilarious in and of it’s own right.) Also love, in response to Eric’s “We were paddling those things as fast as they could go…” Tyler’s “Apparently not, since we went faster.” Hugs to the Hippies. I really love how they have always tried to learn a little something about each country, each culture, so it seemed karmically fair that it came back to help them in this leg.
Ray and Yo were largely absent in this part and seem to be getting cranky again, but I did notice that, overall, these teams have handled the Killer Fatigue that usually plagues teams at this point far better than previous teams in previous seasons. Of course, they didn’t send them to India this year, which is usually the brutal leg that pushes teams over the edge.
….and Mt Fuji! How cool was that? I want to see that live and in person some day.
Okay…so Part 2 commentary tomorrow…don’t spoil me, Blog Babes. I’m in Media Blackout until tonight.
Oh yeah, one last completely unrelated thing….Rasheed Wallace? HA! I say. HA! LeBron, you amazing child you, please shut the Pistons out of the playoff picture once and for all in Game 6. LOVED last night’s finish! LOVED. Miami’s in….would love the Cav’s to be there, too.

I know what number my fingers will be pressing too. I think you’re right - Chris’ fans divided Elliot and Taylor allowing Kat to come out ahead of Elliot. Also, she did a little better than he did on Tuesday.
Sigh. I have been LIVING basketball thanks the husband who Won’t. Give. Up. The. Remote. I will have to come back tomorrow for my Amazing Race recap …
I think Kat is getting the California vote and the men votes.
Finally Elliot is gone, I will no long have to suffer through his boring performances. Is it me or does Elliot look like Count Chocula?
Kat’s snobby attitude really showed through, and I am surprised she wasn’t sent home. I would rather be bored with Count Chocula then watch the creation of another Diva. So my vote is now for the spastic soul monkey as my coworker calls him, go Taylor.
Oh I can’t wait till you watch the 2nd half. I agree with you on the frat boys whinning. I was like oh shut it… LOL
I dont watch The Idol - may parents love it.
Tonite I will watch ER and Will and Grace. I only watch W & G sometimes but have to see how the series ends.
Can anyone fill me in on NCIS season finale. I only watched last 5 mins. And did Jethro quit - and why? And I didnt realize Denosio who is hot hot hot was next in line since Jethro told him it was his ballgame now or whatever he said.
I am sorry for you Donna that your idol didn’t make it. My pick Chris is gone so I am still moping and don’t care anymore, but… if I had a choice it would be Taylor now because hes so funny and I love his voice.Kat is more markatable probably because of looks so we will see.
I think the non-frat boys were whining because they realized it wasn’t going to be so easy to beat the hippys especially after they beat them in a physical race, lol.loved it!
