Blog Babes Rock!
It’s the Final Two on AI tonight, but first…
You guys are awesome! (But then, we totally knew that.) Your response to our crazy combo contest has been fantastic. Jill and I are so thrilled you’re enjoying our nutty game. What? Some of you haven’t entered yet? Come on, join the fun! The instructions are all spelled out in yesterday’s blog. You have until Thursday night to enter. I’ll let you know if you Got It! right or wrong so you can keep at it until you’re entered in Friday’s drawing. Good luck!
So, okay, I must inject a wee tiny bit of SportsCenter MAC…first the Pistons take out LeBron and Co. Sure, sure, they’re more talented. I just really don’t like them.
Martina Hingis won her first WTA title in 4 years. Pretty cool comeback, kid! Can’t wait for the French Open to start this weekend. Will Nadal take Federer out? He has his number on clay, so it’s anybody’s guess. Now if I could just adapt to the Paris-U.S. time difference …
And my heart goes out to Barbaro, the trainers, owners, all of them. My parents and sister raise and breed horses for a living, and this touched us all. So sad to see such a young champion go down. We’re all pulling for you, big guy!
Okay, that ends the dorky sports geek portion of today’s blog.
Now begins the dorky reality show addict section…
So….tonight y’all. Tonight is the Final Two on American Idol. And…we’re left with Taylor and Kat. What is wrong with this picture? Sigh. It’s been an interesting season this time around, hasn’t it?
I’m not so sure I care tonight, which is such a shame. I want to, but the most excitement I can drum up is that I don’t want Kat to win. And, you gotta admit, love him or not, Taylor will sure make an interesting addition to the Idol winner line up. Who knows what they’ll do with him. Sure didn’t see this final two when I was watching auditions way back in the Stone Age (this has been on a looooong time, hasn’t it?) So, yeah yeah, I’ll be there watching to the bitter end. One last blow-by-blow recap tomorrow for us blog babes…
Then whatever will we do for our reality fix? This is a concern, people.
So You Think You Can Dance takes over Survivor’s slot this Thursday night. I’ll have to check that out, but how bloggable is it? Not sure. And Last Comic Standing starts next week. I have a real love for stand up comedy, but this show has been a complete train wreck in the past, plus, comedy is so subjective…. Hmmm….. Help me out here!
(And did anybody see where they’re having another Bachelor in the fall? Didn’t Travis and the rotting eggs chick bury this franchise once and for all?) And now it’s some Italian prince (who is not all that and a basket of fries, if you ask me) who owns and distributes a line of cosmetics….(wait for it)….for dogs. Yes. You totally read that right. I can’t do it. Just can’t. Not even for the TWP (Train Wreck Potential.)
Which leaves me with Big Brother All Stars which admittedly has TWP that is off the charts. But it’s on, like, every freaking night. We’ll have to take a poll on which night would make for the best blow-by-blow. I feel the need to shower off already….
Of course, anything might be more fun than talking about the Pistons-Heat series. Sigh. I wish America could vote to send Rasheed Wallace home. We’d get that right. I know it. Who do I call?
Happy Tuesday everyone!

My vote like I mentioned is Big Brother but it was on for 3 days previously have you heard something about it being on more? I know even three days is hard because then ya gotta choose.Last time Last Comic Standing was on[I didn't watch it & am glad I didn't considering they pulled it]they pulled it just before the final show,so I was surprised they are having another one, wierd? There is going to be a show I think sounds a little like Amazing Race,it will have an added element of finding a treasure. My sister and I are going to check it out it’s on channel 5 called Treasure Hunters and starts June 18th.
No, just three nights - it just feels like every night.
And it’s funny you mention Treasure Hunters. I was talking to my mom this morning after posting my blog (she’s just as bad as I am with reality shows - so it’s genetic! Not my fault then!) and mentioned this one. Sounded really interesting. It’s on NBC - I went and checked out their website. Looks like it has some promise. Maybe it will fill my Phil void over the summer.
I was thinking of Treasure Hunters too. So you think you can dance might be bloggable.
Since I’m originaly from Detroit I’m not voting Wallace off. But I will say that the series they have coming up in Miami is going to be hard. It went 7 games last year and probably will this year as well. Since you know horses I have a question why is a broken leg life threatening for a horse? (We didn’t see to many horses in Detroit).
I’ve seen commercials for another talent show (believe it’s a Simon Cowell thing) hosted by Regis. America’s got Talent, or something like that. Anyone know for sure? Might have possibilities. But Donna, though I haven’t been sucked into the show in the past, I really think I would enjoy your comments on the Bachelor!
Shhhh, I’m not really here.
Yes, there’s a new show from Simon Cowell - a talent show (more than singing) and it will be hosted by Regis Philbin. It’s for sure, but I don’t know the date or channel.
More Simon Cowell? Hmmmm…..
(And I know that was not Eve in here just now because she’s not online this week…hmmm…..she must have a twin. Wonder if it’s an evil twin…
I am off to play in Happy Hobby Land for the rest of the day and evening…don’t let the party get too out of control here, now! (Eve’s evil twin is probably watching! )
*snort*
She knows when you’ve been sleeping, she knows when you’re awake, she knows if you’ve been bad or good …
Just saw the commercial for the new Rock Star…maybe you could blog about it.
Jennifer Y
That’s for the band called Supernova, right. I watched it last season for INXS.
yes a real prince.
Julie - to answer your question about Barbaro, this is from my sister, taken from an article published today. Says it better than we could:
“Barbaro sustained a broken cannon bone above the ankle, a broken sesamoid bone behind the ankle and a broken long pastern bone below the ankle. The fetlock joint - the ankle - was dislocated.
Richardson said the long pastern bone was shattered in “20-plus pieces.”
The bones were put in place to fuse the joint by inserting a plate and 27 screws to repair damage so severe that most horses wouldn’t have survived it. Horses often are euthanized after serious leg injuries because circulation problems or fatal disease can arise during recovery.”
Hope that helps!
Rock Star: Supernova is on my list, but it really depends on how the group plays on screen to me, and what singers are in the group. I was a squeeing Marty fangirl last season.
I’m definitely giving So You Think You Can Dance a go because I’m a total dance junkie, have been my whole life. But I dunno yet on blogging. Not the blow by blow anyway - but who knows! You’ll all have to let me know how you feel as we watch the new batch of shows.
AI was fun tonight, y’all. Check it out in the morning for all the MAC that’s fit to print!
Like what you have to say. Your blog makes good since to me.
