Well…
…So, my luck isn’t improving here. I got home to find that my DVR apparently had some kind of malfunction and the only way the tech support folks could fix it was to do a total reset, which has the unfortunate side effect of wiping the hard drive clean. So not only didn’t it tape American Idol (or Simon Baker! NO!) but when they reset, I lost the dance show. Lovely, truly.
So…it’s Wednesday and I am hoping the rest of the week is better than the beginning of the week. I am told we are expecting seriously cold weather here tomorrow as my area is gearing up for the inauguration - and all of you up around the Great Lakes, yikes! I hope you are all okay and staying safe and warm…and reading! 
If any of you did watch American Idol…were there any good ones? Was it all freak show or did they do as promised and show more talented folks this year? How is the new judge? DISH!
I watched most of it and fast forwarded through a good amount of it too. They did show serveral good ones but then also some weird ones, but I have to say that they weren’t as bad as in the past. I like the new judge. She was fair and not whinny like Paula can be. I also watched Biggest Loser and Bob’s rant. That was very funny to see.
I watched American Idol, and I like the new judge. Also, the show featured some pretty good singers and not too many weirdos. Two of my favorites are a blind man and an oil rigger with a cute family. I hope you get to watch tonight’s show.

AI had a montage of auditioners butchering Bon Jovi’s Wanted Dead Or Alive. It has just about ruined the song for me forever!

I saw the last hour of Idol last night after NCIS (can’t miss my Duckey) and there were a few good ones auditioning. They didn’t really have as many “off the wall” weirdos as they have in the past. I usually only watch the auditions and then don’t watch again. Oh well, weird is weird. I also don’t watch the Biggest Loser but several of the Entertainment shows had the rant on as he was laying into one of the gals for not finishing the 30 minute treadmill workout. She would get to 20 minutes and stop so it looked like he had everyone do it again for 30 minutes and she would stop at 20 minutes. Have no idea how it was resolved since I don’t watch it. But you know you can google it and it will be some where! ; )
I watched some of it and the girl in a bikini was too funny. The women kept saying that she couldn’t sing but that didn’t seem to be a problem for the guys.
I tried to find some of the clips on you tube, but Fox has had them all pulled claiming copyright. Which would be fine if Fox showed the epi’s again online, which they don’t. If they’re not gonna allow clips anywhere (and seriously, for auditions?) then the least they can do is add them to their episode rerun list. It’s not like we’re all waiting to buy the DVD release.
Bikini girl got into a little fight with the new judge, Kara.
I have to agree with the women judges about bikini girl. I wasn’t impressed with her singing, and I did not like her insulting attitude. She only made it through because Simon has 2 votes. I realize that with 4 judges you have to have something to break the tie, but I don’t like that one judge has more power than the others.
On Biggest Loser Bob went off on one of the ladies because she was supposed to be doing 6.5 on the treadmil for 30 seconds but kept stopping at 20 and making the other members on her team have to keep doing it over also. Bob for those who don’t watch BL is a is usually the nice calm guy that everyone wants as their trainer. I have never seen him yell at anyone like that. Oh well I guess you just have had to seen it to understand.
oh yeah bikini girl was bad and her attitude was worse. Hopefully we’ll get to see some good ones tonight.
oh no! I don’t know what I would do if my DVR got erased! I have American Idol Tivoed but we have company in town so I can’t watch it yet..*sigh*
This is the part of Idol that I don’t like watching. I get so emabarrased watching people make fools fo themselves.. I have to keep the clcker in my hand and be ready at all times to change the channel!
Aw Donna that sucks… I watched AI and Ithought there were 7 really good singers that got through. The new judge had me cracking up when she was telling the bikini girl she wasn’t that good. She wasn’t and just because she was in a bikini Randy and Simon were ridiculous and put her through.
I had to tape the first show so I watched the second show first (this early it doesn’t matter really). I actually liked the new judge. This is the first year that I got to see the first shows so I don’t have anything to compare it with.
