Idol Tuesday….Idle Tuesday….Idyll Tuesday

One of these things is not like the other…

So: Jacksonville, Florida. Idyllic it was not. Not the hotbed of talent we’d hoped for. Or maybe it was! We’ll never know, because Day One? 9 tickets…we saw 3 of them. Day Two? 7 tickets, of which they shared 2.

Overall, not as depressing or freak show heavy as other episodes, but not quite the feel good level of episode two. Ah well. Can they just do more of the singing montage parts to get through the side show stuff? Those? Amusing. And over quickly. Is it Hollywood Week yet???

No, we have to suffer, er, sing through Salt Lake City first. From the previews alone? Run. Run now.

Top Chef tonight, baby. Tune in for more MAC tomorrow! :) Is anyone watching Ted Allen’s Chopped? I’m enjoying that one -which seems to be more about the food, less about the drama. Although one of the chef’s last night brought enough drama to the kitchen that everyone was ready to scream. So very glad he lost, and the “good guy” won. Though I doubt his ego will acknowledge that he deserved to lose. Wow, what a piece of work that guy was.

And the tennis…Australian Open! I’m really enjoying it with me. Show of hands from people who wonder why, when they are experiencing the hottest weather in over a hundred years - yes, 100 YEARS - and they now have a roof that will close over the main court, and players are dropping like flies….that it took until yesterday for them to finally close the roof? Don’t get that. At all. But great tennis. Good semi finals. Looking forward to them!

And? DISH of course!

  1. I’ve been watching the Australian Open, too. Several players retired from their matches and the hot weather probably played a role in some way. Even the moths were dying. There were a bunch of them lying on the court.

  2. Did you hear that Paula walked out while they were auditioning some poor girl? Apparently she was offended because the other judges didn’t ask her what her opinion was of the girl’s talent. What a drama queen!
