Yay! It’s on the shelves!
Today is all about shameless self promotion. Yes, my book is on the stands! (I feel like Steve Martin in The Jerk… “The phone book is here! The phone book is here!”
So…check it out. NOT SO SNOW WHITE is gracing the shelves of a bookstore near you. And remember, because this one is chick lit…they shelve it in Fiction (usually) not the Romance section. (Just to keep things interesting!) All of the Glass Slipper, Inc. books can be found there.
Or you can just click the title here… NOT SO SNOW WHITE and go straight to Barnes and Noble online.
(I said this was shameless, I wasn’t kidding.
)
And if you haven’t perused the back cover copy on my homepage, I’ve ever-so-thoughtfully provided it for you right here…so you can take a quick peek…. (I’m so helpful like that!
)
Can a down on her luck princess really have it all?
A whisper away from thirty, gorgeous Tess Hamilton has been the tennis world’s top title holder and celebrity since she won her first championship at fifteen. Now the headline-making party girl is getting her first taste of mortality — and bankruptcy — thanks to new teenage phenom Gabrielle Fontaine. But it’s Gaby’s cool, calm, and all-too-collected brother and manager, Max, who really has Tess seeing double. He’s the first man she can’t seem to seduce — or intimidate. It appears Tess is truly off her game, until a real-life, modern-day fairy godmother steps in….
Aurora Favreaux, a founder of Glass Slipper Inc. and old family friend, has a plan to get Tess back on her stilettos, and it includes an unlikely meeting between Tess, Max, and Gaby, at Glass Slipper’s new London headquarters — just in time for Wimbledon. It seems that Tess is going to hit the court in a whole new way, to prove to the world — and herself — that a woman with the heart of a champion can ace life and love — even after the big 3-0….
Other kind folks have made nice…so I thought I’d share their generous comments, too…
“Readers will enjoy Kauffman’s excellently well-written contemporary romance with its lively byplay, humor, and very human characters.” — Maria Hatton for Booklist
“This is a fun, high-spirited look at the cut-throat world of professional tennis. Watching Tess shed her rabble rouser image and move on to the next stage of her life is satisfying. As is watching Gaby enter the professional world protected by a loving brother. You’ll root for all the characters. A fun read! You’ll enjoy Tess’ snappy attitude.” – Morgan Chilson, Reviewer for FreshFiction.com
“Ms. Kauffman writes the character of Tess masterfully as someone who knows her own worth, but at the same time, cares about family and friends. Gaby is wonderful, focused, and vulnerable. She deserves a book of her own. Ms. Kauffman conveys the excitement and tension of Wimbledon in detail; I could envision Gaby playing on a grass court. Excellent secondary characters come from the three preceding books, CINDERELLA RULES, DEAR PRINCE CHARMING, and SLEEPING BEAUTY. It is not necessary to read them to understand the current offering, because all stand alone. Take a little vacation from your troubles, read NOT SO SNOW WHITE.” – Lisa Baca for Romance Reviews Today
Okay, that ends the shamless promotion part of todays blog program.
If I could, I’d buy everyone a round of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream to celebrate, I would!
Instead, I’ll offer up a really easy SHaQ Attack for this week…just email me at donna@donnakauffman.com with Glass Slipper in subject line. In the body tell me which previous Glass Slipper book you’d like to win, THE CINDERELLA RULES, DEAR PRINCE CHARMING, or SLEEPING WITH BEAUTY. (Click on the titles to read more about them!)
On Friday, I will draw a name from all the entrants and that lucky blog babe will win the Glass Slipper of her choice!
Tune in tomorrow, where there will be no shameless self promotion, but quite probably some Last Comic Standing MAC will make its way into my blog. And you know what they say….Comedy is never pretty.

I bought this book last night at Sams Club, along with Carly Phillips new book “Hot item” and I can’t wait to read them both (Just have to finish my Jill Shalvis one first).
So is the next book “The Great Scot” that we are waiting for or are you releasing any books sooner?
Hi Pam….yep, after Not So Snow White, the long wait begins in earnest.
The Great Scot is next up, in March 07.
I do have an essay coming out in a non-fiction book based on Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series, which is due out the month before, in February…and there might be a reprint or two in the works, I’m not sure (those things aren’t up to me), but brand new fiction, yes, The Great Scot is next up!
The good news is, that will be followed by the launch of my Black Sheep series for Brava, which means more books without such a long wait in between. Yay!
I hope you enjoy Not So Snow White! Thanks for giving it a try. (And perfect timing, too, with tennis slam season starting in earnest…
I have all three books in your contest. YAY! Would you substitute? Perhaps with BAD BOYS IN KILTS?
Hey Melissa (and anyone else who owns the entire glass slipper collection)…go ahead and enter! If you win, we’ll work something out. No problemo.
It’s really hard to tell - do you have a new book out? *gg*
I’ve also got the first 3 in the series, and can’t wait to get out and buy Not So Snow White. Think I’ll make a detour while shopping for a baby shower gift tonight and stop at the bookstore!
The books all sound great and I would love to start reading the series by winning the first one!
Why Eve, yes, yes, in fact I do. How ever did you know?
Thanks, Carol! Good luck in the contest.
Trish - thanks! Hope you enjoy it. (And enter anyway - we’ll work something out.
The book sounds great!!!
What is wrong with a little self promoting?
I’m looking forward to reading this book!
cool.
Can’t wait to read the new one! I just finished Bad Boys in Kilts, and it was a great read.
Sounds like a great book. Will pick it up next time I”m in town.
Just wanted everyone to know I received “Not So Snow White” in the mail today - woohoo!!!!
Hey Donna–
Do you have the new book Jitters? I am sure Snow White will be well received.
Have a question about Great Scot!! You may have answered this before and it so then I missed it but does Great Scot! feature the 4th brother from Bad Boys In Kilts?
Are you a reality TV junkie or what…gonna watch COMIC this summe huh…will have to come here for updates….started watching it last year but for some reason only caught a couple of shows…your commentary is a treat so may be better than the actual show.
Hi Barbara, yeah, a few jitters. Even after 40+ books, it’s still a little nerve wracking. Maybe even more so as you go along.
And yes, The Great Scot is in fact Dylan Chisholm’s story. It’s already done, and will be out next spring. The back cover copy is on my home page in the reader letter (link is in the right hand column of this page.) I hope you enjoy it!
And I am an unabashed reality junkie…but just the ones I want to watch. LOL Not all of them. (Thank goodness, waaaaay too many these days!) But with Amazing Race and Survivor over, we had to find some fresh blood for the summer. NOt sure which ones will stick, but I love dancing and stand up comedy (even thought I wanted to do that, once upon a time)so those two were naturals for me.
Glad you’re enjoying the MAC - we may have you watching them, yet! Of course, the early stages aren’t near as fun as when they get to the actual show. I guess things will heat up more with the new series by mid-June. But this is fun in the interim.
Good luck with the new book, Donna. I have all the Glass Slipper books on my tbr (don’t hit me) so wont be entering this time.
Good luck ladies.
Hope everyone had a great holiday.
Love the self-promoting. Not that you need to do it, because I am sure we will all go out and buy your new book anyway.
And what a brilliant book it is! I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again: read it (a few times) and loved it! Everyone should definitely pick this one up.
I am actually re-reading Sleeping with Beauty at the moment. Another great read. I just love this series. Sad it’s ending though…
Congrats on another amazing book, Donna!
Hi Caitlin…that check I promised is in the mail.
Seriously, thanks, that was really sweet of ya!! I’m really glad you’re enjoying the series. I was sorry to see it end, too. But time to move on to new pastures… And who knows, it’s not like the godmothers retired….
Cool, Donna. Thanks!
I’m sooo happy it’s offered through Rhapsody BC because that’s where I get a lot of my books. I’m waiting for the mailman to bring it as I write this, can’t wait!congrats on the great reviews Donna.
