AI gets it mostly right…and at least not seriously psycho wrong
So, actually, not bad singing tonight. And I think most of the 36ers were capable of these kinds of performances. Most. I’m still undecided on this one-shot-deal format, but then, it’s a one way
to winnow down a really good group. And, all in all, I really think these guys are.
In the end, I’m not thrilled with all 12 - OOPS! - 13!! Yeah, after my DVR cut out before the final announcment (rrrrrr) I go online to find out who else was picked, crossing fingers it was Anoop, or, second best, Matt Giraud? And all 4 judges picked one, so they BOTH made it in. Whoot! And yes, again, they made Anoop sweat and think he hadn’t made it. Cruel, if you ask me.

Top 13 I’m middle-of-road: Jasmine, Allison, Alexis, Jorge
Top 13 I’m still scratching my head: Megan, Kris, Michael, Scott (okay, so I know why he’s there, but I don’t know that his vision or lack thereof is really a compelling reason to have him in the Top 12/13 when he’s not that awesome a singer. Which I think is why he makes me uncomfortable. If he was blind and sang like Lil…different story. Because, it’s about the singing…)
So, when you look at the breakdown that way, not too shabby really. I don’t really hate any of them. Just prefer some over others. But if I were Queen (and seriously, is there someone I can write to about
that?) I’d love to replace my 4 bottom feeders with Mishavonna, Ricky, Felicia and Ju’not. Now, that? Would have been a line up I could fully love.

And, on Survivor? Not much going on this week. Taj does pull the Cross Tribe Alliance into place and continues to have my love…except next week it looks like the news leaks to Tyson of all people. Everyone agrees that if you’re beautiful (Sydney) it doesn’t matter if you can, you know, actually play the game. Coach continues to be a legend in his own mind. And, finally, Crazy Sandy is sent home.
Also in the news…both Jewel AND Nancy O’Dell pulled out of Dancing With The Stars yesterday with injuries. Yikes! Nancy will need her knee surgically repaired and Jewel had stress fractures in both of her tibias. OUCH. I also heard that Cheryl’s partner, Gilles, has a groin injury, so already this season, plagued a bit like last year. Makes you wonder if they aren’t pushing these non-athletes way too far too fast as this series continues, in order to maintain such high standards. Supposedly there will be “casting announcements” made…assuming they’re not going to want to start a season two celebs down.
And now, on to Free Stuff! Woo hoo!! Alls ya had to do was email me and lotsa Blog Babes did, but there can only be one winner…and this week? It’s Fedora!! Sandy was annoying so I think it was time for her to go but had it been Sydney I would have been ok with that. What was with Taj in putting Joe’s name down?? It looks like she blows up next week - should be interesting.
Really too bad about all the hurt dancing stars but better now than later I guess.
I hope the secret alliance doesn’t blow up in their faces. Coach is just one creepy dude. I was glad Sandy was sent home, she was a bit out there too.

Hi Donna, They are pushing the stars too much. If your properly trained there are less injuries. These celebs are getting hurt for a trophy, it’s ridiculous! I know they get money for being on the show but I think there should be more at stake. The longer they stay the more money they can earn for a charity would be more worth it I think. I heard Holly, Hef’s ex is going to take over for Jewel so we will still be able to see Dimitri from SYTYCD.
