That one I didn’t see coming…

So, last night on American Idol a bit more surprising than the Dancing With The Stars ouster. But then, what wouldn’t be more surprising than that?

It wasn’t a clear bottom three from this field, but I know who my bottom three would have been. Sarver, Megan, and Scott. Only one of those wishes came through. Sarver was joined by Allison and Alexis on the seal and color me surprised. They sent Allison back to safety quickly, and I knew my wish was about to come true. So, no one was more surprised than me…well, maybe Alexis was, when she was the one going home. Then the judges told her they’d considered using the save on her, so she’s left to sing for her life, but it wasn’t a wonderful rendition, and, in the end, denied. She goes home….and Megan, Sarver, and Scott all go on tour. Wow. Doubt I’ll be buying tickets this year.

However, when the Adam Entertainment Spectacle comes to my home town at some point in the future, I will be on line for that.

Now for something more fun! Another sneak peek at an upcoming release! Woo hoo! Below is the cover for the next Christmas anthology, out this October. And yes, for all of those who asked if I’d do a follow up story to Unleashed, from the last Christmas anthology (see Tuesday’s post for the new mass market cover of that book!) the story continues in Lock, Stock, & Jingle Bells in the Kissing Santa Claus anthology.

So…what did you think of the boot last night on AI? There has been a bunch of smack being talked about how they already had their top four “chosen ones” which was purported to be Danny, Lil (aka Little), Adam and Alexis. Guess that was proven untrue. Who do you think is next?

  1. Ooh, have not been keeping up with AI this season, but LOVE the sneak peek for your October release! I loved the previous anthology–I’ll definitely have to pick this one up!

  2. Looking forward to your latest anthologie, enjoy all the authors for this one!

  3. Ooh, lookin’ forward to the Christmas anthology! Cute cover!
I was surprised that Alexis went home. She can sing so much better than Megan, who I wish had gone home. Some people think that Megan got a sympathy vote because she was sick this week.

  4. Always nice to know what we’ll see here in Finland on tv -eventually.

Oh, I hope you got my e-mail!

  5. Poor Alexis! I think her nerves just got the best of her because she didn’t do a very good job singing for the judges. Maybe she was just in shock. I know I was. I definitely thought it was Michael going home.

  6. What a surprise! I guess I was wrong about the judges never even thinking of using their save so early. After last nights bottom three I have no idea who will go next week.

I hope you had a great ‘official’ birthday!

  7. I can’t believe Alexis was sent home. I was sure that Michael Sarver would be leaving. Nice cover.

  8. Congratulations Jenn! Well, I’m in the minority but I didn’t care for Alexis singing Jolene at all. Maybe I’m just prejudiced in thinking no one can sing it like Dolly. Could be because I’m not very musically inclined either . . . can’t carry a tune in a bucket myself.
Looking forward to the Christmas anthology. Sounds like a really fun read.

  9. Your upcoming Christmas anthology sounds and looks really good.

  10. I’m looking forward to this Christmas anthology’s release! I love that it is a follow up story! Yay!

  11. I was so disappointed Alexis went home too! I wish the judges would have used there get a free week pass and get it over with. She didn’t deserve to go and she should have been on the tour. I hate that they only take the top ten. Why bother with 12 or 13 this year if they all can’t tour!
