SHaQ Attack Monday!
So…Treasure Hunters was pretty good. For us Amazing Race Blog Babes, we might have found ourselves a summer replacement. Keeping fingers crossed! Maybe we’ll get some MAC in this week.
Thanks for all your well wishes on my son’s graduation. It went beautifully. I’m officially the mom of a college freshman! Ack!

So, now on to the really important stuff! This week’s SHaQ Attack!
Well, since my best pal, Jill Shalvis’s latest , Aussie Rules, is gracing the shelves, I thought I’d make this a Down Under SHaQ, just for grins, mate!
I’ve written about more than one Aussie hero over the years…name just one of them, and the book he’s in, and if your name is drawn Friday morning from the pile of correct guesses, you’ll win your choice from my bookshelf!
Just send an email to donna@donnakauffman.com with “Crikey!” in the subject header. (No, my heroes have never used that word, promise!
)
Good luck!
(And…you know, I’ve resisted, but it is SHAQ Monday after all…and I’m weak from all those heart palpitations.
Gotta say, though I agree the Stackhouse suspension was wrong in so many ways, way to pull one out of the dumper there, Miami! Dwayne? Way to go, breaking the free throw record. You’re worth every penny they pay ya! (Sorry, Dirk!) And Josh? When you only have one time out left, dude? Come on, what did you think Avery wanted you to do? Just sayin’. )
Happy Monday, everyone!

Hi,
Your son is so handsome. Congrats to all of you!
Loved the pic of the college bound son. He looked great!
And as far as bb goes … gotta love a great game!!! It’s so much easier to enjoy a real nail biter when it’s not my kid playing, lol.
You have a great looking son there!
Treasure Hunters did remind me a lot of Amazing Race. Wow, that was a great basketball game!!
Congrats to your son!
congrats that is so cool
You got a real hansome son there. I got one heading for college in Sept. too.
Nice picture of your son.
Missed the ball game because I don’t really care who wins this year….sorry though because it did sound like a good game.
Watched Treasure Hunters…two hours was too long for the show. I got a bit bored in places. I figured out most of the clues before the teams did…don’t know if that means they are too easy or I would do well on this game.
The team that wnet to MT Roosevelt cracked me up though.
Thanks for all the well wishes, everyone!
Barbara - on Treasure Hunters..yes, it could have been streamlined. And a host who isn’t an automaton would be nice. (I miss my Phil!) But I wasn’t figuring out all the clues, or at least not how they’d all eventually be connected. Thought the cylinder being matched with the painting on the reverse side of the map thing was cool!) The overall rules (like specifically how teams would be eliminated) could have been more clearly stated (apparently to the teams, too, who seemed to constantly fear it was Game Over.)
But what I liked most was how well thought out it was. Nothing the teams did was random, down to the name of their boat, the town they went to, etc etc. Everything tied to something. I liked how they paired up the info from the south teams to the north teams. I wish Amazing Race would go a little more this route and cut some of the spoon feeding of information.
And I definitely think this was a far more exciting and interesting peek at the variety our country has to offer in one episode than the family edition of TAR had in almost the entire race. (No giant office chairs in strip malls this go around.) I enjoyed all the visuals that went with this.
Well, except for the Hanlon’s mullets. (And how cute were they, looking under every rock and trashcan? Loved it.) Even funnier when they opened their box using the code the Geniuses gave them, then the Geniuses couldn’t open their own with the same code! (And what was up with the weird way that guy was curling his fingers around the buttons as he entered the numbers? I was like, “Just punch them like a calculator already!” LOL)
I’m looking forward to Round 2.
Oh Donna I knew I could count on you to watch Treasure Hunters. I so missed Phil….I am curious to see how the show goes forth. I was so hopeing the geniuses would lose. So smart and yet so dumb. LOL
Big Brother wednesday, can’t wait
A BIG CONGRATS to your son Donna. He looked so handsome, what beautiful teeth and smile he has.
Didn’t notice it before…quite clever.
