Finally.

So, occasionally we really can get it right. Good to know. Last night on American Idol, Alison, Anoop, and Megan landed in the bottom three. Only one of them acted like a complete ass. And no, it wasn’t Alison. You know it’s bad when your social skills are worse than Alison’s. No, it was Megan acting like an idiot, pretty much the entire night…so it was with great pleasure that I sat back and listened to Ryan tell her she was the one going home. Even better was Simon’s complete dismissal of any chance for her to get the veto from them. Don’t bother, sing your song, buh bye. Sweet! Caw, caw, indeed.

Oh, and Kara’s heckler during the performance night? Megan’s brother. I know. Nice.

The only thing surprising about last night was that Scott didn’t hit the seal, but then, he did have a good night. For him. I suspect that will change shortly, although clearly Anoop needs to be worried. Was happy to see Matt safe. For a week. And Alison might be in that same see-saw type of position. So far, it seems that Lil, Danny, Kris, and Adam are the ones who can still breathe somewhat easily week to week. At least for now.

Next week? They sing songs from the year they were born. And of course, AI completely screwed Adam’s chances of singing Journey since they sang that as their group performance last night. Thanks, show. Hopefully it will be a better week than this one…but then, what wouldn’t be? I’m just happy Adam was born in the 80’s. Things are looking up.

Tonight? Survivor returns. After being gone for what feels like a month. Looking forward. Don’t forget to enter this week’s free giveaway - you have until 8pm EST tonight to do so. Check out Monday’s post for all the details.

In other news…Project Runway finally resolved their legal issues and we are promised the new season, which has already been filmed, will air this summer. I was hoping for spring, but what can you do? Also? Bravo unveiled their new fashion design series (what, you think they were going to let Project Runway go to Lifetime and not fill that void?) Anyway - it’s called The Fashion Show and is hosted by Izaak Mizrahi (love him) and the winner will actually get his or her line produced. Sweet. The contenders looked pretty interesting as well…and? It starts in May. Yay!! Can’t wait.

So…what did you think about the bottom three last night? Who goes home next? DISH!

  1. Omigod. You are SUCH a one-stop shopping blogger. Where else can I get critical info like who got booted on AI last night (I don’t even have to waste the hour of TV viewing time, because your posts are better than TiVO). THEN, we get the extra added bonus of NEWS–like the Project Runway settlement. (Yippeee!! I hadn’t heard!!!!) Finally, the timely reminders–namely, that Survivor’s back on tonight, and that the new “PR”-type show’s coming up on Bravo. I’m tellin’ ya, Donna. Your a regular Public Service Announcement. Thanks!

  2. WHAT was with Megan last night? She has gotten weirder as the show has progressed. Thankfully, we won’t have to hear “caw, caw” any more. I am not surprised to hear that her brother was the heckler. So much class!

  3. I have to assume she knew she was going because she acted like a complete jerk. She really had a unique voice but her song picks and her movements were terrible. Alison is young and could do with a bit maturing but I think she has a fantastic voice. Adam is still my favorite with Danny coming in next.

  4. I agree with every one - glad to see Megan gone. She was weird last night. I saw Randy, Simon and Ryan on Jay Leno a few weeks ago and they all agreed they thought a male was going to win this year.
