A great one nears retirement…

Sigh. It was hard watching Agassi play his last match at Wimbledon. At least he went down to someone who is an upcoming star. Just as Johnny Mac said about Andre, when Agassi retired McEnroe from the sport. Nadal is already conforming his clay game to grass with frightening ease, so perhaps we have a new shaggy haired giant on the rise. And one who is taking his game a lot more seriously at such a young age, than Mr. A did two decades ago. Two decades…and it went by in a blink. Good-bye, Andre…thank you for so many memorable contests. On all surfaces. You’ll be sorely missed on this one, my friend.

So this morning I am shipping my youngest off all the way to California and my oldest is out and about, so I am officially an empty nester for a week. Whatever will I do?

Heh heh heh. :)

Alright, alright, now. How about a brand spanking new SHaQ Attack Monday? Hmm….what should the theme be……?

I say, it should be Wimbledon, given we’re in second week of my favorite slam event. What’s that? I have a book set at Wimbledon? As a matter of fact, I do!

So, your task this week is an easy one. The answer is on my site. Promise! (Two clicks from here. Two clicks. If you know what to click, that is… :) )

Answer the question: How old was heroine Tess Hamilton when she won her first championship?

Just send your answers to donna@donnakauffman.com with “I Got It!” in the subject line. We’ll have one winner this Friday, selected from all the correct entries. Winner receives a signed copy of NOT SO SNOW WHITE (which, yes, would be the Wimbledon book…) or a book of her choice from my bookshelf if she’s already raced out and bought it. :)

Happy hunting and Happy Monday, all!

  1. The answer can actually be found within one click if you select the right link from donna’s blog :) I’m not entering this one cause I won a couple of weeks ago, but “Not so Snow White” is a fantastic, fun and interesting book full of so much humour and love.

    Happy Shaq hunting!!

  2. My dad hates tennis and he controls the remote but I did get to see Andre Agassi play his last match. Time really flies!

Enjoy your week and if you get lonely you still have us! :)

  3. My son lives basically with my parents. He comes by about once or twice during the week. More in the summer because there is a pool at my building (for some reason the outdoor pool is much more fascinating then the indoor one) This summer I won’t get to see him as much because he is spending the summer staying at my brother’s working all summer.

  4. he was good. happy 4th

  5. Enjoy your child free week!

  6. Well, one son is happily in California visiting his friend and family. The other’s plans got all changed around, so I might not be as alone as I thought. And here I was complaining? That’ll teach me!
