Last night was a Big Sports Night for me. US Open Men’s Quarterfinal action, where, for a brief time I thought James Blake was going to rise to the occasion, but once again, Federer proves to be the better player. I almost got “remote finger” from going back and forth between the Quarters and the opening night of the NFL season with my beloved Steelers going up against Miami. Not the most exciting game on the planet, but they surely pulled it out in the end for a strong season start.
I am heading to West Virginia tomorrow for my first college Parent’s Weekend. We get to watch WVU play football - Go Mountaineers! - and do some tailgate partying as well as a big dinner afterward. So, if nothing else, we’ll be well fed!

I thought the 4th quarter of the Steeler game was pretty exciting and it was really good to see Big Ben looking so healthy on the sidelines! I didn’t expect him to be getting around that well so soon. I got worried there for awhile when the Dolphins were up by three but the Steelers pulled it off!! Woo Hoo!! GO STEELERS!!! Happy Friday to all!!

Yep, the Steelers definitely pulled away in the end. I’m glad we came away with the win.
