We’re down to eleven…
So, it’s time to send someone home on American Idol and the only surprise of the night is that Tim Urban landed in the bottom three and Andrew Garcia didn’t. Now, I happen to like the guy, but given his performances, I would perfectly understand him getting booted, comparatively speaking. I have no idea who is voting for him. Besides me. Yes, I did. Underdogs need love, too. But, honestly, I expected the totals to go something like: Crystal: 10 million; Casey: 9 million; Andrew: 3. So color me surprised that he stayed.
Joining Tim were Paige and Lacey, which was pretty much predictable. As was the growth coming out of Lacey’s head. What was that? Who dresses her? Clowns? In the dark? I really have no idea. Fortunately she no longer has to face the nightmare that clown wardrobe personnel would certainly have to be. Nor do we. Also good, they let her choose which of her performances to reprise. Bad, is the resurrection of Sing For Your Life, which I hate. They didn’t save her, she wasn’t surprised. Buh bye, Lacey.
I would discuss the guest performers (I use that last word quite generously) but am trying to keep this an umbrella-drink-free, family-friendly MAC today. So, David Cook, nice to see you. And I’ll leave it at that.
Today would be your last chance to enter this week’s Free Stuff Friday contest to win a free book from my website bookshelf. Check out Monday’s blog for the details. Then come back here tomorrow and see if you won! In the meantime, your thoughts on tonight’s eviction? Happy? Sad? Terrified that clowns might come to your home and dress you like Lacey? All worthy of thought and discussion. Start…now. DISH!

I’m glad to see they let them choose their “goodbye” song. I always thought it was awful last year they had to sing the song that got them booted off in the first place in an effort to save themselves. Where’s the logic in that? I agree about the “guests”. I don’t think either one of those gals would have made it to Hollywood, much less the “big stage”. But I’m old, so what do I know?
