SHaQ Attack Friday!
This week’s question was: Who was the medical professional in one of my books and what was the job title?
The correct answer was: Christy Russell, ICU nurse from my Harlequin Temptation, Carried Away.
(FYI - ER Dr Matt Walker from Men of Courage was not in my novella, sorry folks!
)
And the winner of a copy of Carried Away is Blog Babe Angie T! Woo hoo, way to go, Angie!
So, I went to my first Grey’s Party last night. It was an okay episode, but fun to watch with friends. Not as much with the interesting cases, but moving a lot of story lines a little bit further. I enjoyed McDreamy and McVet trying to one up each other and Meredith’s little soliloquy on what she’d hoped dating would really be like. (Dream on.) McSteamy checks in (with a big YAY from me,) Callie checks out, and Izzy stands still. Loved Cristina’s version of supportive partner with the cleaver in the chicken. But what was up with Burke’s hair? It looked glued on or something. Odd. Bailey was wonderful as usual, and crying Addison in the closet was my favorite scene. I know we’re not supposed to, but I honestly like her.
And yes, all of this means I didn’t get to watch Survivor, but I will over the weekend, so look for some Columbus Day Monday MAC on that one.
I hope you all have a great holiday weekend. It’s gotten chillier here, so I can finally pull out the sweaters. Which also means hot cocoa will also make a return in my house soon. Mmmmm. It’s great curling up with a good book weather, too. I’m currently curled up with Christina Dodd’s Trouble in High Heels.
What are you reading?

For some reason I just can’t get into this season of Survivor, and I’m a die hard reality TV chick.
I just finished reading Morrigan’s Cross by Nora. I’m so glad the second book is already out. I hate waiting for sequels!! While I’m not into vampires - this was enough of a Nora story to get me past that. So, as soon as I finish book 2 then I get to reread those Bad Boys from Scotland which I just received in the mail (a Big Thank You!!)
Congrats to Angie for winning this week’s SHaQ!
I can’t really get into Survivor this time - it’s kind of boring. I was out last night and only caught the last 10 minutes - but I’ve got it on tape.
I’m reading Rachel Gibson’s “I’m In No Mood For Love” and loving it. Just finished Nora’s “Morrigan’s Cross” and can’t wait for book #2 in the trilogy.
Congratulations Angie T!
Since watch Grey’s Anatomy is repeated on Fridays I’ll watch it tonight. Thursday is my CSI night.
Right now I’m reading The Prince’s Virgin Wife by Lucy Monroe.
YAY!!! Thanks Donna! I am looking forward to reading it!
And thanks everyone for the congrats!!
Grey’s wasn’t the best last night, although I have to admit I rather enjoyed the “Meredith sandwich” dream. I’d still go for McVet….as witnessed by the closet episode, dealing with the ex-wife’s drama would just not be worth it!!! (well, maybe a little bit worth it…ok a lot!,/b>) And I like Addison, too. She just needs to hook up with McSteamy and get over it! that train has left the station, already!
The best part to me was McDreamy and McVet playing off each other. Classic!
I was ready for Izzy to go ahead and get it over with. Go in, already!!! Sheesh! I wish her and Alex would work it out. I think they would be good for each other….if Alex can stop doing former patients in the ladies room at Joe’s. The dog. He has such shining moments of sincerity and like-ability, (witness him finding the little girl and his patience with Izzy) then
he screws it up for me by doing something like that.
Who thinks George is being a little overly pissy with Callie? Last week he was all jealous and this week he acts like he doesn’t want her around. I like George, but he needs to grow some and start letting people know how he really feels.
And I am currently reading “Love at First Bite”, the anthology with Sherrilyn Kenyon, L.A. Banks, Susan Squires, and Ronda Thompson. Next is Rachel Gibson’s “I’m in No Mood for Love”. How is it, Carolyn? Good as her others?
Huh. I came for you Survivor recap, lol. I love your recaps. Anyway, I’ve just finished Not So Snow White by YOU, and loved it. Now I’m going to dive into I’m in No Mood For Love by Rachel Gibson, and then hopefully Crazy Sweet by Tara Janzen.
Sorry for the no-recap. There will be one Monday. I can’t keep up! LOL
Angie - I agree about George, altho his super hero ramblings totally cracked me up, the Callie stuff was making me crazy. I’m liking her.
I like Alex’s character because he’s so flawed and multi dimensional - not all evil, not all good, just seriously conflicted and trying to figure out who he is. I think they’re doing a really great job with him, loved him with the little girl last night.
I loved McVet showing up with the ice cream, loved Mer’s rant, but even more I loved the Mer/Cristina byplay about her dream. Cristina was love/hate for me this episode, but it was total love in the end with the chickens. Only Cristina would show her supportive side with a cleaver to a chicken. LOL
As for McSteamy…yeah, I just want him to be on my television screen, preferably half dressed, as often as possible. I don’t really care what his story line is.
And reading…you know Nora is a bud, and I love her work like the rest of the solar system, but I just can’t do the vampire thing. Even by her. I know, it’s sacrilege. But I adored Angels Fall, and I’ll be right in line for the next one, but the vampire trilogy is getting a pass. I tried Morrigan’s and just couldn’t get into it. Beautifully written, as always, but the subject matter just isn’t my cuppa. Sob.
And thanks, Jill! Glad you liked Not So Snow White. I miss my godmothers, but the black sheep guys are keeping me plenty occupied.
Congrats on making the USA Today Bestseller list, btw!!! Mucho deserved!
Congratulations Angie!
Yeah, I know about having a favorite author (and friend) write something that you’re just not into … it sucks.
I’m reading The Heart of a Mercenary by Loreth Anne White. Riveting read.
I’m reading HEART OF THE DRAGON by Gena Showalter. Really good so far
wtg christy. reading new blazes
Congrats Angie!
Congrats Angie!
I’m currently reading “The Greek Tycoon’s Wife” by Kim Lawrence (a Harlequin Presents book). I’m about 20 pages from the end.
Up next… I have 2 books that I have to start editing (for StarDust Press). But, for fun… I’ll start reading “Real Women Don’t Wear Size 2″ by Kelley St. John.
I read I’m In No Mood For Love and really enjoyed how the characters interacted. I just picked up Motor Mouth and am dying to start it!! (Wonder how soon I can get the kids to go to sleep? *g*)
Congrats Angie.
I enjoy Survivor and I taped Greys which I can watch in quiet and my husband and I watch CSI.
I’m reading a Kathleen Woodiwiss - Forever in your Arms.
Congrats Angie
I’m reading Dark Celebration by Christine Feehan.
Have a great weekend everyone.
