Survivor MAC, Cherry Blossoms & Free Stuff!
First, it’s Cherry Blossom Time in my neck of the woods, so thought I’d share! My older son is working on the Jefferson Memorial renovation, and gets to look at this loveliness every day. Lucky guy!
So, first, the other night on Idol, Didi goes home. You may now continue with your regularly scheduled life of no suprises. Oh, and next week? McCartney Week. Yeah. There’s a way to make these kids relevant. Sigh.
Last night on Survivor, unlike they tried to make you think it was Clash of the Titan’s on Idol, this really was. Rather than figure out they should work together and own the damn game, Russell and Rob go head to head and lose all sight of taking Courtney out of the game, who is one stiff wind away from being a cadaver. I realize she’s loyal to Rob and he wants to keep the loyalty going over keeping the tribe strong, but then shut up at tribal council about making the team better. Coach is torn between two loyalties and his own code of manly honor, so he votes for Courtney, while everyone else votes Rob or Russell, which, in the end? The Garden Troll wins - AGAIN - and takes out Rob.
Now, I love Rob, always have. But what’s the point of keeping loyalty around when you can’t even get your own team to vote how you need them to? And Russell can. Love or hate either one of them, but, once again, Russell is proving this is his game. I don’t love the guy, but, as in Samoa, I respect his game play and thought he got screwed by a bitter jury. Rob didn’t even make the jury this go! And, sad as I am to say, he deserved to go because playing old school doesn’t cut it any more in this game. What kind of talk was that with Jerri? That doesn’t convince her to do anything. So, go Garden Troll, go. You got the votes you needed to sail on. Rob did not. Will Russell make it to the end? Highly unlikely. But is he better than Rob? Well, he’s still there, isn’t he?
So, an interesting game. Will get more so when the merge happens, which should be soon. And in that regard? Very smart to get Rob out now, if you’re Team Russell. Next week? Mud wrestling!

Tune in next week for more MAC and more Free Stuff! But for right now? What did you think of Rob’s ouster? Are you rooting for anyone at this point, or just sitting back and watching the havoc, like me? DISH!

Happy Easter to you too
greetings, Ina
What a Beautiful picture of the memorial and the cherry blossoms!
Congratulations to Nancy C.!!!
Happy Easter weekend and safe too!!
Awesome Picture. Happy easter and congrats to Nancy C.
I agree with you Donna. Poor Rob, have you looked at courtney lately? Seems like they start playing the numbers think way to early. He walked right into that one I thought. I don’t care much for Russell either but he is playing the game.
I have got to get downtown! I’ve missed the blossoms the last two years! On Idol - haven’t we done the Beatles to death? I know McCartney/Lennon have some other songs, but given how the judges whine when people do songs from previous years, why don’t they do more to force the issue? I just don’t think it’s fair to complain about something they helped create!
