In other news…did anyone watch So You Think You Can Dance’s kick off show last night? All I gotta say is…wow. Some very talented dancers. And wasn’t it great seeing some old favorites? There weren’t really any group routines I didn’t like, though I loved some more than others. (Pasha shirtless, need I say more?) Mostly, though, I was completely in love with the opening Wade Robson routine. Love David Bowie’s Fame and the whole garden party setting… Just when I thought he couldn’t top the night club routine opener from last season, he goes and does it. I am definitely looking forward to the season getting underway so we can see them properly compete, one on one, with their all star partners.

I know my heart is already completely with the guys this season. I enjoy watching all of them dance, though I am already rooting for Kent and Alex Wong already. I think Lauren (blonde) stands out for the girls, and, surprisingly in last night’s group number, so did Melinda, the tapper. But, all in all, the girls feel like so much filler to me this season. In that regard, I’m really, really glad we don’t have to get rid of one guy and one girl each week like before, but can let one dancer go weekly, regardless of gender. I think you will see the girls trotting off one by one straight off. And I’m okay with that.
