The results are in…sniff.

I wish they could all three get Glitter Ball Trophies. But…no.

Hello, Tom! Oh look, it’s Patty Duke. Wait. No, it’s just Sam.

Even better, it’s Maks as Bond. James Bond. That? Was hot. Well, Maks was anyway. (Was there anyone else on the dance floor?)

Ahhhh…and a real Bond trailer. I’m a very happy girl. I’ve never missed a Bond and I happen to think this one might be the best in eons. Cannot wait.

Oooooh, and even better? We get a little tour preview that includes Lisa Rinna, her husband Harry, Joey McIntyre, and–wait for it—Willa and Maks!!! Wooo! Dancing to Footloose, I gonna need a LOT of ice cream. That was fun. Loved seeing Louis! and Lisa together again, too.

We get to see Tysonia compete. You go, girl! She looks really wonderful. What a change from when she started. She performs the rumba, which is a tough one as it’s the woman’s dance. They don’t show a lot of it, but she gave it her all.
She gets second place!

Now we get The Pet Shop Boys fresh off their latest tour, singing their hits. We get my all time fave, West End Girls. Cool dancers, but wish the stoned cameramen had stayed on them straight on to get the full effect.

Hi Tony Potts! Hi Jimmy Kimmel! Hi Rachel Ray!

After a very prolonged announcement, we find out that, Mario & Karina are in the finals…and as many of us predicted, Joey & Edyta are going home. And may I say, not only were they classy, but Emmitt and Cheryl were both the utmost professionals with the announcement as well. Very classy, guys, very classy. Group hugs all the way around. I know nobody wanted to see any of their competitors leave. It’s a tough one!

A prolonged standing O from the crowd - very well deserved. And though he’s handling it like the class act, good guy that he is, you can see that he’s really disappointed, too. He worked so hard, he really wanted to go to the end. I wish it was a final three!

After the clip package and the good-bye…all wonderful, as we watch them dance their final dance, Tom lets us know that this year, the finale will be different. Each couple will dance three! dances. They will perform a freestyle, their favorite dance, and, new this year, they will both dance to the same song. (I’m guessing with the same style dance, but they didn’t elaborate.) That will be interesting!

Of course, Mario’s a great dancer, but anyone who has followed my blog all season (can you believe we’ve been doing this for a couple of months?) knows I’m rooting for Emmitt all the way, but it will be an entertaining final, no matter how you look at it.

Who do you want to win it all?

Don’t forget, you still have time to vote in this week’s SHaQ Attack. See Tuesday’s blog for all the details. And hey, I’m visiting over with the Brava Babes today, blogging about sports heroes. Come on by and join the conversation!

And I know I promised an all new Sneak Peek….but I haven’t gotten permission yet from The Wizard Behind The Curtain (aka my editor.) The second I do, I’ll share.

  1. Go Emmitt!

Did you notice that Harry danced better in the group than he ever did alone? Loosened up a bit.

  2. All my votes are for Emmitt!!

  3. I am so disappointed that Joey is gone!! He is such a classy guy!! I was really hoping for some miracle that would push Joey and Emmitt to the finals!! Now that it is down to Mario and Emmitt there is no question who I want to win…. GO EMMITT!!!!!!!!!!

  4. So much for my wish of a three way tie. *sigh* Joey was such a class act it was hard to see him go.

I know I’m in the minority here but I’d like to see Mario win. It’s just that he has been the most consistent, but then again that could all change after next weeks three dances.

On a side note they are moving “Men in Trees” to Thursday at 10 following GA, starting November 30.

  5. Well, I noticed that the camera tended to stay off of Harry for the most part. He did seem more relaxed, in what little bit we did get to see of him, but I kind of feel bad for him in that he’s not of the caliber of the others. I watch him and want to send dance powers telepathically to him or something so he’ll be magically better. It is cool that he gets to tour with his wife, though. (Are the kids going on tour, too?)

And wow, I’d heard rumors of them moving MiT to follow Grey’s. Great slot for the show, I think they complement each other well. I hope they pick up a bigger audience this way, and now it won’t compete with Las Vegas, so maybe better ratings, too. I really like that show and missed it last Friday when they did that 20/20 special. (About money and power. Woo. Hoo.)

  6. loved on jimmy kimmel.

  7. I really want Emmitt to win.

  8. I am so sad that Joey left last nite. Now it is GO EMMITT.

And I am going to see Dancing WTS tour in Feb with some friends. I cant wait. And was very happy to hear that Joey L is going to be in it.

  9. Pat, I’m envious! They are coming here to DC and I so wanted to go. But the tickets for decent seats where you could actually see them were pricey and I couldn’t find anyone willing to pony up to go with me. Pout! Maks is going to be in MY town and I won’t get to see him. How will he learn I am The One if I’m not there, front and center, to catch his eye? Oh yeah. Willa. Sigh. Well, that and I’m old enough to almost be his mother. Still. Minor details.

You’ll have to tell us everything! To be honest, I was as excited at the chance to get to see Drew dance again as anybody. And to see Cheryl and Louis! Maybe I’ll just go by myself. Then I don’t have to share. More for me!

  10. Oh such a dilema. I think Mario is probably a better dancer but he seems to expect to win while Emmitt has that something special and is more of an underdog so I pick emmitt.

  11. I so want Emmitt to win. It was sad to see Joey go. What a class act. I agree Mario thinks its his trophy already. He is a good dancer but he just doesn’t connect with his partner like Emmitt does.

Sorry Donna but I am seeing Mak on Jan 17 In Cincinnati. I will give him a big hug from you. I can’t wait. We don’t have the best seats but I am happy that I am going

  12. I only caught bits and pieces of the results show (and missed the first 3 dances of the performance show… it was a bad week for me and TV). I’m undecided on who I want to win. I’m just glad that they are both good dancers and entertainers.

  13. Yes, Mario is cocky and I agree that he probably thinks the trophy is in the bag. Would love to see his face if Emmit Wins. Go Emmit.

  14. I would love Emmitt to win. He dances like I wish I could enoying it totally and not worrying about anything else.

  15. On a side note they are moving “Men in Trees” to Thursday at 10 following GA, starting November 30.

Yay!!! I hardly ever get a chance to watch it on Fridays. Too much going on….
