So, I was thinking…

…if we can have Free Stuff Friday, then why not balance that out with Man Candy Monday? Okay, okay, so it’s Tuesday. But I THOUGHT of the idea on Monday. And, never one to short the Blog Babes, here’s this week’s contribution, albeit a day late.

No, no, not more Rick Fox. I skimmed Dancing With The Stars last night, but, you know, it’s just not keeping my attention this go around. Brandy was better, Kurt and Anna were cute, but the TV Tune week’s costumes were horrible and the music was next to impossible to really choreograph a decent dance to, which left them dancing in super awkward slo-mo steps, or really fast double time, or just make-up-movements-to-fit stuff, which seemed to be the case most of the time. Kudos to the pros for having to work around that crap, which they did a decent job, considering. But boos to the judges for not pointing out what a challenge that was. Definitely affected the odd and awkward looking performances.

And, is it me, or does everyone just look plain worn out? I know fatigue starts to kick in by the time they’re doing two dances a week, but, all in all, doesn’t it seem like there is no joy in Danceville? I’m sure they’re all enjoying the bond they’ve created with each other, but the cast this season is, by far, the group that seems to have bonded the least. You don’t get that dance family vibe at all. Usually back stage they’re all cutting up and really enjoying the performance night, but they just seem whipped and waiting. I think it’s performance pressure and exhaustion more than any actual dislike for one another. They’re just vacant-eyed at this point. And that’s no fun to watch. Boo, show. Boo.

So! My antidote? Man Candy Monday (on Tuesday.) DWTS might not have fulfilled its role, but Hawaii 5-0 sure did! I give you, the new Steve McGarrett.…. No, no, don’t thank me, just enjoy!

And don’t forget to enter this week’s Free Stuff Friday contest! Details in Monday’s blog post. Then come right back over here and DISH! Are you over DWTS? Do you care who wins? Are you enjoying the Hawaiian, uh, surf, on 5-0 as much as I am? Yeah, the surf, that’s what the attraction is! And just how cute is Castle? Seriously adorable is what I say. Maybe I should find a good Nathan Filion shot for the next MC Monday…whaddya think?

  1. I agree, DWTS is definitely boring this season…something’s lacking, maybe it’s that the stars themselves don’t seem excited to be there and they are acting as if this is more of a job then something they requested to do.

Castle is in it’s best season though so far….it’s a creative idea and very well cast. Maybe DWTS should watch Castle to see how to create the much needed chemistry?

  2. Nice pic! And I love Nathan Fillion so post away.

  3. NOW that is the kind of eye candy i would love to see walking out of the water or the shower or anywhere….
Love the show and love Steve McGarret.. though I do like the orginal Jack Lord.. only he was a little bit to hairy for me..
But they picked a good guy to revive the series.. I won’t be missing an episode thats for sure…

  4. Wow - you’re on to something, Kauffman! Me like the Man Candy Mondays (even if its on Tuesday! :)

  5. So, at your recommendation, I DID check out Hawaii 5-O….and I totally agree with your Man Candy Monday pic!

  6. I love Nathan - go for it! He was in a strange movie a few years back called Waitress.

  7. Glad you all are enjoying the visual feast! Certainly perks the day up, doesn’t it?

And Pat, he was also in a short-lived s/f series on television - Firefly. Love a man in uniform. I think I’ll have to see what kind of man candy photo we can get from that era….

  8. Wow, I finally got to see McGarrett in bed.

  9. I know, right? Dang, I should have found THAT picture! I could have photoshopped the woman out. Then he’d just be laying there, all tousled and sexy, looking directly at….ME.

Well, there are more Monday’s yet to fill….. :)

  10. You are so funny! I loved the Firefly series. The movie Serenity was also very good, he stars in the movie also! Oh my gosh, I just read another comment, yes I saw the movie The Waitress also, I loved him in that (although, I am not sure that I realized who he was when I saw it…but you are right!)! I really liked that movie also, it is very funny!

  11. I’m tired of DWTS too, can’t be bothered with it anymore- it’s really boring. And I just love Castle, that attraction they have for each other. You know if they go for it the show won’t be as much fun..it’s the anticipation.

  12. The whole tv theme was strange. Too hard to dance to IMI. I still enjoy it but not as much. Is it just me but is Brooke about to pop out of her dress every week?

I might have a picture of Alex above in bed. let me look

    I love Castle.
