Monday, Monday means Friday, Friday Free Stuff Contest!
Did everyone survive Football Wildcard Playoff Weekend? Wow, for a bunch of games that had the potential to be really lopsided, only one of them turned out that way. (Ravens. Figures.) The Colts, Saints, and Eagles go down, and the Packers and Seahawks go through? Who saw that happening? Crazy. Entertaining, though! (As was the Firefly marathon over on Ovation… Mmm. Nathan Fillion.)
And the entertainment continues with this week’s Free Stuff Friday contest! To enter, send an email to donna@donnakauffman.com with “I’d like to be a Wildcard Winner!” in the subject line. I’ll draw a name from the pile and announce it in Friday’s blog. Winner gets a free book from my website bookshelf! (And all previous winners should have received their prizes by now, so if you haven’t please notify me, same email.)
Also! If you haven’t dropped by my Cakes By The Cup Blog as yet, well, whattya waiting for? You can read all about my first crazy adventure in becoming a baker (it’s titled “the one where the cupcakes exploded…” so, um, it’s going to be a journey…) and leave a comment to be in the running for some Blog (Cupcake) Candy over there, too! Today is the last day to enter there. New Adventure posts tomorrow and the first winner will be announced! Come join the fun…and get yummy recipes!
So, along with football playoff madness, there’s a bunch of mid-season tv getting ready to launch. Anything on your Must DVR List? I’ve got Harry’s Law already queue’d up, the new courtroom drama with Kathy Bates, and I might peek at Off The Map, at least once, the jungle medical drama. And, okay, okay, okay, I’ll raise my hand now as being the first in line to check out Aerosmith’sSteven Tyler as an American Idol judge. That’s a must-experience for me.
What about you? What are you going to try? Go enter everything then come back and DISH!

I didn’t get the chance to watch much football this weekend. Saw the Seahawks on Sat win.. That was a good game. Sunday I went to see Country Strong…I gave it a 3 out of 5 Stars… I was about to aak fo my money back when just about 3/4 of the way through the movie it started to get good.. My friends liked it, but I found the first part of the movie dragged, I wa almost knodding off…. Oh well you win some you loose some.
I was undecided about Country Strong, but ended up going with rental. I think I made a good choice.
