Well, there’s two hours I’ll never get back

So, everything that was fun about AI in Birmingham was a nightmare in LA. Horrible hour. They put 30+ people through and we get to see 3? Back up singer boy was good. The highlight of the show, however, was widower Sherman. Made me misty. I fast forwarded through the other 98%. Worst of the bunch, thus far, which is really saying something. I’m glad we only have one city left. I’m so over this part. Let’s get on with the competition.

And because I wasn’t having enough fun, I watched the Top Chef finale. Talk about a full on train wreck of series ending proportions… Ilan wins over Marcel and the world…changes channels. Neither of these two deserves the title, neither deserves to stand next to Harold, winner from last season. I am only left wishing Sam hadn’t played it so safe with some of his dishes. He was pretty much the only one I could have seen winning this season who wouldn’t have depressed or disgusted me. Incredibly bad season. Can they pull it out of the dumper in season 3? I hope so.

Taped Top Design but was so put off by the previous two shows that I put it on hold and went to read a book instead. I know, what a concept. :) I’m currently a judge in the RITA contest (national contest sponsored by the Romance Writers of America) so I am reading my entries, which I cannot name here. However, if I find a gem in the bunch, I’ll definitely talk it up after the contest is over. What books are on your nightstand/in your car/by your couch/in your purse? I’m anxiously awaiting Susan E Phillips newest, out next week!

Last day to get your SHaQ entries in. See Tuesday’s blog for details if you missed it! Winner announced tomorrow. :)

  1. widower guy had the water works going. So sad, and so nice of them to allow him to do it. Even Simon was decent.

  2. It’s good tv night …

  3. Sherman singing was one of the sweetest things I’ve seen in a long time!

Sam saved Marcel’s butt last night.

I just received my B&N order of ‘Just Try Me…’ and ‘Jinxed!’ by Jill Shalvis in the mail and can’t wait to start reading them.

  4. Yes, I was very glad they let Sherman sing, even more so when it turned out he had a lovely singing voice. When he claimed he was a winner as he left, I absolutely agreed. I’m sure his lady love was quite proud of his achievement.

  5. Sherman definitely touched me…I didn’t pay attention to the rest.

I am reading the Brava anthology All Through the Night…then I have to decide what to read next.

  6. I don’t usually watch “American Idol,” but as I was folding laundry last night, I decided to tune in. Sherman’s performance was touching, and I agree that his voice is lovely.

I’m currently reading Murphy’s Law by Lori Foster.

  7. Well ladies, tomorrow is the big nite. WE GO TO SEE DANCING WITH THE STARS on tour. I am so excited. Cant wait.

    Will lyk how it was.

    Have a great weekend.

  8. Oooooh, Pat, spare no details!!!
