Waaaaaaah
Thanks to the basketball schedule and my work schedule, I only got about five minutes of Amazing Race tifaux’d. Dangit. So no MAC from me. Hopefully I’ll be getting a tape of the episode from a pal in time to watch before next week. I understand it was a non-elimination round, so at least there was that.
In other news…I am SO done with winter. No, really. And doubly done with car mechanics. I want sun, warmth, and my vehicle back in running condition. Preferably not in that order, though I’m beginning to have my suspicions.
So, now that I’m done venting, what are we all reading? I finished Natural Born Charmer by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, but haven’t had time to dig into anything else yet. What’s on your nightstand?
Tune in tomorrow for the next SHaQ Attack contest! (I promise not to let my general crankiness impact the difficulty level of the hunt. Okay, I’ll try. Blame it on my auto mechanic and his empty promises. I wonder if he reads blogs…)

Hello Donna,
I just finshed your book “The Great Scot” and absolutely LOVED it!!
Now I’m in the middle of Lisa Jackson’s “Shiver” and I just can’t put it down. Usually her books can scare me they are so realistic, but I’m loving this one.
I am just starting Susan Mallery’s “The Marcelli Princess”. I loved Natural Born Charmer, what did you think? I can not wait for my copy of The Great Scot to come in, it will go straight to the top of the pile.
I hope you get the tape just to see Danny, Oswald and Phil at the end. I won’t say anymore so you will be able to enjoy it as much as I did!
I just finished Jinxed! and am now reading Smart and Sexy, which is fantastic! I seem to be hooked on Jill Shalvis books right now, which is a good thing since they’re calorie free. lol
How was the cheesecake?
I just finished The Great Scot, and loved it!, and so now I’m going to read Shopaholic and Baby. Move down to Texas! We were in the eighties the past 2 weeks and now we’re in the 70s. It’s kind of nice here and our state motto is “Friendship” so we’ll treat you well.
My family shares your irritation over the whole mechanic thing. We had the same mechanic for 20+ years and then he decided to retire. Can you believe it? Anyway, the good news is that we know exactly where he’s retired to so if needed we can beg and plead for his assistance. Try looking for who the local, county, or state police take their cars to. That’s how we found our current mechanic. Good luck!
Currently reading ‘The Rest Falls Away’ by Colleen Gleason, really enjoying it so far.
Sheesh, you and The Shalvis are both asking for reading hints. I have about 20-something books on my TBR pile, but I can tell you that the best thing I’ve read in a long time (okay, most probably ever) is this book called Smart and Sexy.
DWTS tonight!!!!!
Oh, and Jessica - yes, it’s in the 80s, but I’m not ready for summer - give me spring.
I enjoyed Natural Born Charmer. Wasn’t my all time fave, but SEP never lets me down.
And how am I supposed to add to my to-be-read pile if you’re all reading my books? Wait a minute, scratch that.
And I’m a big Jill fan, too!
As for spring or summer, if it means no more ice storms, I’ll take either, thanks.
No cheesecake for me (waaaaaah) the wait was two hours! I don’t love cheesecake that much. But my sons treated me to a wonderful brunch and a good time was had by all. Now I need to work my “good time” off.
I did pick up my truck today and so far (knock wood, cross fingers, make ritual sacrifice) it seems to be fixed. Finally. Two weeks and &^%^%$$ dollars later. Great idea about the law enforcement mechanic!
I am off to watch my Tivo’d DWTS. I’m SO excited!!
Well, she is up there with some author by the last name of Kauffman.
Natural Born Charmer was great. All SEP’s stuff is.
I have got so many on my tbr - several of Donna whats her names and:
Erin McCarthy - You Dont Know Jack
P. J. Mellor - Give me More, Pleasure Beach
Geralyn Dawson - Give Him the Slip
Shelley Bradley - Strip Search
Susanna Carr - Pink Ice
Sandra Hill - Pink Jinx
Just a few out of hundreds. I should live so long or retire now so I can get to them all.
I received my copy of The Great Scot and I will probably start it in the next day or two. Thank you again for the copy.
I’m currently reading Kristin Hardy’s Cutting Loose and can’t wait to check out the Susan Elizabeth Phillips books that I ordered from Amazon last night (from the Chicago Stars/Bonner Brothers series). I’ve never read any of her books, so I’m looking forward to it.
I just finished reading “And Then He Kissed Her” by Laura Lee Guhrke. Pretty good historical. I’m debating on what to start next. I’m thinking of starting Pamela Britton’s NASCAR series.
Hi Donna, Annie here, [from TTP - you will remember me, long braid, gave you a pile of 16 of your books once to sign when BW was not looking and I remember sharing a nice nude back shot of Rob Ashton while he sat on the beach with you and you said you remembered him]
Any way what I am reading? Your book of course and love the cover model. He’s pretty hunky - a hottie. Nice visualization of Dylan with this guys mug in my mind. Thanks to whomever.
