Happy Hump Day!
Yay, tonight is Dance, Dance and Crazy Chefs Big Brother? I watched the first night, caught a little of the Big Brother After Dark the first week…and the rest are piling up on my TiFaux. I just can’t seem to get excited about it. Much less watch it. Am I missing anything? While out of town, I did, however, watch Last Comic Standing and Age of Love. The first one made me laugh…the second one made me cringe. I will try to catch Last Comic now that they are moving into the actual show, but of course, they program it against the only show I watch. Figures!
I can’t say that this summer has been All That when it comes to television programming. I know the summer months can be the Death Valley of television, but it’s been better the past few. This one? Not so much.
Which means we should all be reading more! I need a few good Beach Reads (not that I’m going to the beach, but a girl can dream.) Any suggestions?? What is the discerning Blog Babe reading this summer?? My next Must Buy is Agnes and the Hitman, from Jenny Crusie and Bob Woodward, coming next month. Well, that’s after Harry Potter next week, but then, that’s a given. I really don’t want to read that one. Not because I won’t love it, but because then the series will be over. But I’ll have to wolf it down or risk being spoiled by every person on the planet talking about it twelve hours after it’s released. Sigh. I hope she already has plans for a new series.
Don’t forget to enter this week’s SHaQ Attack contest. Details in Tuesday’s post.

Hi Donna;
What do you mean you have no plans to visit the beach? Aren’t you close to Virginia Beach? I love the beach, but since my back surgery was only three weeks ago today (feeling wonderful btw) I have had to put all of my summer vacation plans on hold.
As for beach reads, I just finished Simon Says by Lori Foster and I loved it. Great story, sexy guy and hard headed woman, what’s not to love. I just started Leslie Kelly’s “She’s No Angel” and I’ll let you know what I think later this week. Of course, “The Black Sheep and the Princess” comes out in a few weeks, so I definietly have to pick that up.
BTW TV sucks this summer, but the books are wonderful.
I wasn’t very into Big Brother until this week. I’m looking forward to next week to see Jen get hers. Thank goodness for Dance and Top Chef!
As for reading I highly recommend “Shadow Hawk” by Jill Shalvis and I’m looking forward to reading “Your Mouth Drives Me Crazy” by HelenKay Dimon.
I’ve bought but haven’t yet read “The Unfortunate Miss Fortunes”, which Jennifer Crusie cowrote. I’m looking forward to “Agnes and the Hitman” too.
I’ve got so many books to read and not enough hours in the day. I just got Nora’s new hardcover “High Noon” and I can’t wait to start it! I just finished “She’s No Angel” by Leslie Kelly and the anthology “Heat Wave” by Stephanie Bond, Leslie Kelly and Heidi Betts. I’ve also got HelenKay Dimon’s “Your Mouth Drives Me Crazy” waiting to be read. I also read Jill’s “Shadow Hawk” and I highly recommend it.
Jill’s Shadow Hawk I’ve just finished reading, getting HP #7 tomorrow, so will have to read that, Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Devil May Cry is out in 2 weeks so will be getting that, then your Black Sheep & the Princess. Currently re-reading all of the J.D. Robb series to get me through the holidays…
