If it’s Friday, it must be time to giveaway some books!
Our winner this week….drum roll please………..Lori from Imperial, PA!!!
And no, honest, she didn’t win because she’s from Steeler territory, I swear! She just got lucky…sort of like Pittsburgh did with a few officiating calls.
Hey, after the Palomalu Incident, they were due! And you know, if you want to bitch at me (and come on, you know you love me) I’ll just say this: Holmgren? Two words: Clock Management. Yeah yeah, I’m done now. Till next year.
Tune in Monday to find out what the next giveaway will be!
Okay, I haven’t MAC’d in awhile, so today, it’s all about Dancing W/ The Stars:
Four teams left. Semi-final night!
It’s so tough as I love all these guys, celebs and pros. Everyone is giving their all and I hate to see anyone leave at this point.
Team NFL: Of course, Jerry is the weakest in technical skill, but he’s number one in the hearts of a LOT of people out there and he has my utmost respect. I think Anna was very shrewd and absolutely spot on to try and garner the Mr. Entertainer vote. She knows they’re going to get the Rodney Dangerfield Vote from the judges, and she also knows the fans are their bread and butter. So why not play to them? I thought their first performance was the most delightful one they’ve done so far. It kept my attention and I was very entertained. The second dance, hey, Jerry can too wiggle his hips! Not as riveting as the first one, but a good effort. Still..I rank them in 4th place. However, given the “Jerry Jerry” chant of the live audience, which I’m certain was echoed in living rooms across the nation…I think he’s a shoo in for the final three no matter what.
Team Stacy: I realized something watching them last night. With every other pair, I watch both dancers. With Stacy and Tony, I never really watch Tony. I couldn’t even tell you what he was wearing. And it’s not that I’m hung up on watching Stacy. Something about them doesn’t draw me as a pair. Now, when Tony danced with Cheryl last week doing the reprise from Dirty Dancing? Couldn’t take my eyes off of him. I wish I could figure out what it is about those two that doesn’t do it for me. Both are technically proficient, but they just leave me cold. I can’t help but wonder if I’d feel differently about Stacy if she were paired with someone a few inches taller than her - but good luck with that hunt! Anyway - she did well this week, I’m still meh on her, and I can’t see anything stopping this juggernaut.
Team Rinna: I really enjoy Lisa. She works so hard, wants this so badly, and is so very cute with Louis. He’s an impeccable choreographer and an adorable partner for her. I enjoyed both of their dances (though they got stuck with horrible music for their second number - and Lisa’s fashion choice left a lot to be desired. What was that thing hanging down in the front anyway?) Unfortunately, I don’t think there is anything she can do to keep herself in this thing to the end. I think Jerry’s fanbase will overwhelm hers and she’ll be going home tonight. I really wish it were otherwise. She definitely deserves to be in the final three. A really good case for not giving the audience a full half of the vote. I hope they skew that percentage a bit in the next season.
That brings me to Team Drew: Just love these two. I still can’t get over the fact that Cheryl is only 21! I think her choreography is by far the most innovative and showcases her partner every bit as well as Louis does for Lisa (which is saying a lot given his considerable experience.) I love watching the two of them, they entertain me the most, and I thought they really brought it with both dances tonight. I can’t believe they won’t be in the final three - please don’t prove me wrong!! - but I’m not sure they’ll pull it out over Stacy. I just hope they get the chance to find out.
And even more importantly….tonight? Michael Buble!! Squee!!
My pick for final three: Drew, Stacy, Lisa. I’d love to see Drew win…but I can see Stacy with the Glittery Trophy of Excess. What do you guys think???

Thank you so much!! :o)
As for the Super Bowl officiating calls, the Steelers have had enough bogus calls against them this past year that they deserved a few to go their way for a change!!
Go Steelers!
congrats Lori
Lori - exactly!! It’s all part of the game.
Congrats! I hope you enjoy your prize.
I cant believe I forgot to check the blog for the contest. Oh Well.
Anyway, my vote is for Drew. He has worked so hard and is so good. Jerry is a horrible dancer compared to the others and I cant believe Lisa got booted.
Well, you can enter again on Monday!
And yes, I was so sad to see Lisa go, though I knew with the way the scoring system works and Jerry’s huge fan base, that it was likely.
Wasn’t Louis so sweet? And I loved how her husband looked even more devastated. He was so proud of her. She was very gracious in her exit and on her blog page, she thanks everyone for voting for her. Class act and what a personality. She’ll be missed in the finals!
That said, I’m with you - Drew and Cheryl all the way! (They were so cute on the Ellen Degeneres show!)
