Another one bites the dust…
The Good…
Floyd goes home. Sorry, Floyd. You really did work hard and I appreciate that you took this seriously and had such gracious things to say. It was just a season of tough competitors and you were out of your league.
Wade Robson’s performance! Squee! For me it was a little taste of So You Think You Can Dance in the Fall. I LOVED it. I know I am probably in the minority, at least if my favorite bb’s are any indication (Television Without Pity…look into it.) Not me. I loved it every twisted second of it. Twice. Probably again sometime today. And did you see Travis was one of the jesters?? Loved. It. (And the red Macy’s star on his eye was a nice corporate shout out. Ha!)
Maks/Anna and Tony/Elena’s pro dance. Dang! That was hot. What we got to see of it. (See: The Bad.)
Cameron/Edtya getting the encore. Nicely done and again, two extra thumbs up for choreographing anything worth watching to that whackball music. Sheesh.
The Bad:
Stoned camera guys. What is UP with them anyway? I realize that was supposed to be Gloria Estefan up on stage, not Random Back Up Singer Girl (who looked a little like Trista, didn’t she?) but you had more than 24 hours notice about the switch, so don’t you think you had time to change up the camera angles to, oh, I don’t know, show some of the DANCING????
Samantha Harris. She’s been doing this for how many seasons now? And she still flubs her lines all the time. Drew was there for like, what, three weeks? He had it down after two episodes. Honestly. Nice girl, glad she’s a mom, but can we puleeeeeze get someone else? She has zero charisma with anyone, Tom, or the dancers.
Mel? In the Bottom 2? What the hey is up with that? I think she got lost in the crowd of people voting for Mark to make sure Floyd went home. We almost missed out on Maks and the Spice Girls. Don’t do that to me, America! I’m betting they won’t be anywhere near the bottom next week. Of course with Floyd gone, that puts Mark in the bottom two, but with who? Jane, maybe? Better not be Marie, y’all. She cracks me up. I need laughter, people.
The Ugly:
Wayne Newton. Singing. And I thought his dancing was bad? What WAS that? What, was THAT? Even Cheryl and Drew dancing together again couldn’t save that from being the train wreck of all train wrecks. I watched it with the sound muted. I had to. Then I backed up my DVR and watched Wade’s performance again. And I felt SO much better.
Next week? Latin Night! Woot!! I’d like to implement a rule where the men must show as much skin as the women will have to next week, except I only want the rule to apply to Maks and Cam. Can someone look into that?
Oh, and did anyone watch Sam Who? Monday night? I did, and that? Was the most hilarious pilot I’ve seen in years. Christina, Jean Smart, Jennifer Esposito, and SOOKIE! were all fantastic and funny. I’ll definitely keep that on the TiFaux menu.

Me and the DH have this joke about bad singing. Remember the Flintstones cartoon where Fred thinks he can sing and Wilma and Betty hear him and Betty tells Wilma…”Oh Wilma, some poor pteradactyl is caught in the tar pits again!”
Well, that whole Wayne Newton debacle was just painful. And people actually pay money to hear him sing?
It must be the hearing aid set..that’s all I’m sayin’. even Random Back-up Singer was better than that performance. I swear I saw Drew flinch a time or two…..
I am glad it was Floyd who went. Someone did not look happy at all when that was announced

I thought Sam Who? totally rocked. It took me a minute to recognize Sookie, becuase I was a sporadic Gilmore Girls viewer, and i kept thinking “where do I know her from???” but I loved her…and Jean Smart is always a treat.
Wade’s performance was the highlight of the show!
I couldn’t believe Mel was in the Bottom 2. Shocker!!
Poor Mel looked heartbroken to be in the bottom two. I will be sure to vote next week.

Wayne was painful to listen too and they didn’t show enough of Drew and Cheryl.
Drew and Cheryl were great - I knew they would be dancing along to Wayne’s horrid singing - that is the only reason I did not turn off t.v. and that was such a great performance. Drew is really gooood. And I agree, I would have loved to see more of Drew and Cheryl Dance.
I hated the dance by that Choreographer - It was good but not my cup of tea at all.
And Samantha does flub her lines and says stupid things also. Could she ooze out of her dress any more? Cover up those books a bit more, babe.
Now I know why he was replaced by Cher in Las Vegas - the man needs to quietly fade away I’m afraid.
Glad Floyd went and I think Mark should be next. It’s going to be hard after that.
