Finally!
Sorry this is so late in getting up today, but the good news is, I finally got my DSL and router issues resolved. It took me all morning and a very long talk with Luis at Verizon, but he’s my new best friend since he got all the bugs worked out and we’re up and running again. So Yay Luis!
So, I caved and TiFaux’d The Bachelor finale. Yes, I know. I am so lame. But at least that way I could just skim. Most. Unsatisfying. Ending. Ever. (And if you watched the Jesse Palmer or Jen Scheft season, you know that’s really saying something.) And I even saw it coming a million miles away. So, there’s an hour or so of my life I’ll never get back. Someday I’ll learn.
I did spend another hour or so of my life in a far more pleasurable pursuit…reading the re-release of Jennifer Crusie’s Anyone But You. (Fred’s book, if you’re familiar with her backlist.) It was just superb and reminded me why I’m such a huge fan of hers. Not that I needed reminding, but you know you’ve hit on a wonderful talent when you can jump back ten years and their old work reads just as fresh and fun as their new work. Loved it! I highly recommend it. (I mean, it has Fred, Oreos, Amaretto Milkshakes, and Alex, a totally hot hero…what more do you want? A 40 year old heroine who doesn’t have a perfect bod anymore but her ten-years-younger hero wants her anyway? Oh yeah, it has that, too! Check it out!)
Lots of entries in this week’s giveaway - keep ‘em coming!!

i think most people knew the result. i met the third bachelor andrew firestone, i have his authograph, so cute in person.
I really liked Andrew. And I know they don’t consider any couple who doesn’t last a success, but I think the show was a success with him and Jen. They did go on to have a real relationship, it just didn’t stand the test of time. (I feel the same about Meredith and Ian.) I wish they’d shown us more of the “real” Andrew during his season. The outtakes at the end of the series really showed what a great sense of humor he had. Seems like a good guy.
