Tuesday MAC and some SHaQ Attack!
The highlight of the finale? Jerry, Kenny & Lisa’s Dance Center: Reveal! Ha. Loved it. Love Kenny’s over the top glam dancer makeup. He just cracks me up.
So…sure sure, Team Carrie Ann won, yadda yadda, whatevercakes. I liked their single, Come With It, better anyway, so I’m good with the outcome, even though I have no idea how they’re really going to play as a singing group. Like…do they even have a name? (It’s not…Team Carrie Ann, is it?) Wait, what do you mean Team Bruno won? What’s up with that? See, this is why I didn’t get invested in this show. More important?

Wow, what a line up! But first…no Maks this season? Wait, I think I need an ice cream break while I deal with this devastating news….
Okay…fully loaded with Edy’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, I think I can continue without a breakdown. But Maks? Call me. I need…private tutoring. Yeah, that’s it, priiiiiivate tutoring.
So, ahem, where was I?
Oh yeah - what a surprising list. I’m a little bit excited by this line up!
We have: Marlee Matlin, Penn Gillette (of Penn & Teller), Marissa Jaret Winkour (Tony award winner for Hairspray - so…Broadway vet? Um, hard to do without being a trained dancer at some point. This season’s ringer, anyone?), comedian Adam “The Man Show” Carolla, Olympic figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi (wow, that will be fun!) Christian de la Fuente, apparently a Latino heartthrob and I’m thinking my pulse might have kicked up a little (sorry, Maks! I’m fickle!) so…I’m willing to give the guy a chance (yes, I’m also shallow. Pass the ice cream, will ya?) Next? Monica Seles! I know! Get out. I’m such a tennis freak. I love this. Mario (R&B singer, #1 bestseller…another ringer?), actor Steve Gutenberg. So, not exactly the Jerry Springer/George Hamilton set (I mean, he’s only two years older than me, but…) He just seems like Old Guy to me. Not sure why. Next is NFL star Jason Taylor, and actress Shannon Elizabeth (also Maxim’s Hottest Woman. Whatever. Hi Christian!) And finally, Priscilla Presley. Yes, she’s a legendary icon, the forme Mrs Elvis and mother-to-Lisa Marie. But I think she’s gotten a little…off as the years have passed, witnessed by the exceedingly high number of face altering plastic surgeries she’s had. Even Wayne Newton said no more at some point. So, I think she might be our freak show factor this year. Sorry! I know she’s a legend. I hope I’m wrong! Now, Lisa Marie? THAT would have been interesting!

I missed the big announcement on Dance (yawn) Wars last night. This is the one of the best line-ups, evah!
I am totally bummed about Maks but Priscilla was on GMA this morning and her dance partner is……. LOUIS!

We are in for some good times with Adam Carolla. And it will be interesting to see with whom they pair Marlee. You have got to admire her for attempting this. Seriously.

Wasnt thrilled with the lineup. Liked the Latin guy - gots to have my eye candy. Penn, & The comedian - NOT. Also the girl on broadway - no fair. Kristie Y and Marlie should be good to watch. I didnt hear what pros would be there other than Max, Not. Glad to see Louis back. And Glad Donnie isnt dancing. Had enuf of the Osmonds.
I’m intrigued by the line up so far. And the celebrity pairings seem just about perfect in looks and all, in my opinion. Except for Shannon Elizabeth with Derek? She isn’t taller than him?? She was the one I’d have put with Maks.
Everyone - celebs and pros, as well as previous years winners are on Oprah Thursday! Maybe we will get a sneak peak at the possible chemistry between partners. I can’t pick a favorite yet. But, yay for Louis!!! He was darling on GMA!
Oh, so cool that Louie! is back. Yay! But I missed the announcement of the other pairings. I have my DVR set to tape Oprah on Thursday to see all the match ups, but somebody spill already! Inquiring, ice cream saturated minds want to know!

Oooh, Cheryl and Christian? Well, that oughta be smokin! And I’m glad she gets the “good one” this time, or at least one that might be good. I miss her great routines, which she simply couldn’t choreo for someone like Wayne.
I was afraid they’d give him to Karina and we’d have another Mario Situation on our hands. Shudder. She gets a new Mario, ha!, which should be a good combo, actually. I’m interested to see where that goes.
Pen and Kym? Poor Kym. I know she made it work with Jerry, and with Mark Cuban, but my god, give the girl a break already!
Wow, can’t wait to see this new Fabian guy. I’m in all kinds of awe over Marlee Matlin anyway, so the fact that she’s doing this I think is going to be fascinating and awe inspiring to watch. Hope he’s a good teacher!
Monica and Jonathan - now that’s just the cutest thing ever. Could have only been possibly better by giving him Kristi - but she should be great with Mark Ballas, so it’s all good.
Jason and Edyta…another teacher who deserves a break. Not that they haven’t tried - and she got Cameron really far last year. And who knows, maybe Jason will be incredible!
Marissa and Tony…well, that should be interesting. And that’s all I’ll say about that. For now.
Adam/Julianne - well, if anyone can make him endearing, it will be her. Should be as entertaining as possible, considering he’s an assy kind of guy.
Steve and Anna kind of makes me…amused. I don’t see her having much patience with him. And…well, it could be way more fun for us to watch, than them to endure. She’s never boring, that’s for sure.
Shannon and Derek should give Cheryl/Christian a run for the Smoking Hot Title. And Derek is pretty tall, so I think they’ll be okay…

I want Maks sigh…should be interesting. The reveal of the new lineup was the most interesting think about dance wars last night. Kenny was a riot.
Sad that Maks won’t be there, but Fabian seems like some decent eye candy
I am looking forward to seeing what they do with Steve, and Priscilla, but i think Monica & Christian will be most interesting to watch.
Priscilla reminded me of a geisha with all that white make up, painted on lips (which couldn’t move) - yikes!
