Well, I think it is, anyway. Yes, my happening Blog Babes, this is a Very Special Free Stuff Friday!
As many of you know (and now the rest of you will know!) I am launching a brand new series this fall, The Bachelors of Blueberry Cove. The entire series is set on the coast of Maine where I have spent some of the best times ever over the past year, enjoying all the seasons, and looking forward to so much more going forward. I have completely fallen for everything from the rugged coastline, the lighthouses, the puffins, and the amazing seafood, to the wonderful, colorful, down to earth Mainers I have met along the way, and can’t wait to share it all with you.
The first book, PELICAN POINT, will hit the shelves on October 29…but (and you knew there was one!) the advance review copies have arrived!! And I’m so excited for SOMEONE to share this series with rightthisverysecond, that I’m giving a copy away in this week’s contest. I know! Now, advance review copies are compiled of uncorrected page proofs, which means that when my editor, the copy editor, me, and a few others all got done marking up the manuscript, we sent it to the printer who tried to make sense of all of our comments and make all those little adjustments. Sometimes that goes better than others, then we review how it all looks in its shiny, new book format, make all the final tweaks (and there are always lots of them – the printer means well, but they don’t actually read it, they just look at the tweaks and sometimes they get it right, sometimes not…) plus given this is a series, and I was well into Book 2, HALF MOON HARBOR, when this one got to what they call the “bound galley” stage, I made some additional adjustments as well. So…whoever gets this copy is getting the early, not-quite-done peek into the work, not the final, final polished gem I hope you all will love, but, like I said…I can’t wait any longer!!
So…who’s game to be the first one on your block to own your very own copy?? Here’s a little about the book:
Blueberry Cove, Maine, is as small-town as small towns get. More than a little quirky, it has sheltered generations of families. But there’s always room for a new face…
Fixing things has always been Alex McFarland’s greatest gift and keenest pleasure. But with her own life thoroughly broken, she’s signed on to renovate the dilapidated Pelican Point lighthouse, hoping to reconnect with herself. The last thing she expects is to find herself falling in love – with the glorious coastline, with age-old secrets and welcome-home smiles . . .with rugged Sean McCrae, the man she just might be able to build new hopes on.
DIY is so much better with two!
How can you win your very own advance review copy?? Simply send me an email to email@example.com with “Me! Me! I want to go to Blueberry Cove!” in the subject line. (International readers welcome!) I’ll draw a name from the stack and announce it here on, well…Friday, of course!
In the meantime, check out last Monday’s blog post to see what else I have coming out this fall! Oh! And I’m thisclose to rolling over to another 1000 fabulous followers over on my Facebook Page (where all the fun stuff goes on every day of the week) The lucky person who hits that triple “000″ mark will also get an advance copy of PELICAN POINT!! I know!! Good luck and happy reading!
