Monday, Monday…

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend and that you all aren’t sugar crashing right about now.

We’ve got Dancing tonight and singing tomorrow night and lots of eliminations this week. Should be interesting. I did watch the Big Give last night and it was an interesting task. The Maloot brothers (of Vegas hotel and NFL football team ownership wealth) handed each of the remaining 7 givers 100K each to distribute. The catch? They had 24 hours, couldn’t actually hand cash to anyone, couldn’t spend more than 500 dollars on one individual and couldn’t spend more than 10K in any one location. Sounds easy? Not really. I found myself wondering what the hell I’d do if dropped in a strange city (Miami in this case) and I was supposed to make a difference in people’s lives as well.

Out of the 7 remaining players, only one managed to give it all away. Most of them gave more than half, while one of them spent almost the entire time being lost and only gave away 16K of it. She went home (and while her heart was in the right place throughout this competition and I do feel it changed her life…wow, what a trainwreck she is, you know?) Unfortunately, The Pretty also went home as Scruffy Guy ended up booted as well. I can’t say as I blamed them. He promised to pay for a police officers funeral but didn’t plan his time right and couldn’t make the event in time to follow through on his word. He did make up for it in other ways, but…yeah, not good, that. So we’re left with 5 and we’ll see what happens next.

On to this week’s SHaQ Attack contest! This week is the release of Dear Prince Charming in mass market with its sparkling new cover (hits the shelves tomorrow) and the winner this week will get a copy of the book! (If you already have the trade version, you can pick something else from my website bookshelf.) I made you guys work last week, so this week I’m taking it easy on you…just send an email to donna@donnakaufman.com with I’ll Take A Prince in the subject line. I’ll draw one name from all the entries and announce the winner this Friday.

Tune in tomorrow for some Dancing MAC and a sneak peek at the cover copy for an upcoming release!

So…..who is going home tomorrow night? I say Adam and Monica, but who knows?
