TGIF!

Yay, it’s Friday!

I have a bunch of fun stuff to announce today. First up is the news that my advance review copies of The Black Sheep & The English Rose arrived yesterday. So all of you who have won copies will be getting yours very soon! This also means a special SHaQ Attack contest next week were another lucky Blog Babe can win a copy. Woo hoo! So stop by on Monday to get the details on the next contest.

I also got the final word last night on the upcoming author signing extravaganza. Coming Friday, April 25, from 11 - 2 (or whenever we get done signing) Turn The Page Bookstore in Boonsboro, Md will be hosting our annual pre-writers retreat booksigning, and let me tell ya, it’s an event not to be missed. Signing this year, will be Victoria Alexander, Kresley Colem Mariah Stewart, Nora Roberts/J. D. Robb, Gail Barrett, Kathryn Caskie, Sally MacKenzie, Sophia Nash, Karen Rose, and me! I’d love to see some blog babes there. It’s a fun event! Click on the link in the right hand column of this blog under “Buy My Books” for Turn The Page to get directions and additional details.

But wait! You say you can’t attend and might have to pout a little? Bruce and Stacey (that would be Nora’s husband and daughter-in-law, who own and run the bookstore) also put on a virtual booksigning at the same time as the actual booksigning. I know! Brilliant. Click on the link for Turn The Page Bookstore (right hand column of this blog) and get all the details on how you can still be part of the big event and get signed copies of books by your favorite authors, shipped right to your door. Sure, it’s true you won’t get to go around the corner to The Creamery for frozen custard, but it’s truly the next best thing to being there.

We also have a winner of this week’s SHaQ Attack contest to announce. This week was easy, just sending me an email with I’ll Take A Prince in the subject line, the winner receives a copy of the newly released, mass market version of Dear Prince Charming…and that winner is Amanda W! Woo hoo, way to go! Thanks everyone for entering, and don’t forget next week’s contest and a chance to win an advance copy of The Black Sheek & The English Rose, which mere mortals will not be able to purchase alllllll the way until August!

And finally, I have teased you with a sneak peek promise and I’m finally delivering! After Finn’s story comes out this August, finishing the Men of Trinity, Inc series, I will have a new release coming from Brava early in 09. Not part of a series, it will stand alone allll by its little self. The powers-that-be at Kensington are still grappling with the title idea. The original title was Black Sheep: After Midnight, as the plan was to continue to write about Black Sheep heroes (a la Bad Boys…) However, there is some concern folks will confuse it and think more Black Sheep titles means more Trinity Inc titles…which is not the case. So, at the moment, the title is still under discussion. What is not under discussion is the back cover copy, which was sent my way very recently and which I think sums up the book quite nicely. So, of course I thought I’d share it with you guys!

Here you go…

BLACK SHEEP: AFTER MIDNIGHT

When anything can happen…
******************************
He’s bringing anything but peace and quiet…

Tate Winslow is done with all the guns, the adventures, the brushes with death. All she wants is to be left alone. So when her enigmatic ex-boss shows up on her doorstep, she doesn’t care how good he looks. He’s all alpha male, the baddest of the bad—and a threat to her hard-won peace in more ways than one.

Tate is the only lead Derek Cole has on a case that could blow the intelligence world apart—if it doesn’t kill him before he can figure it out. She was his best agent, but she’s in hiding and he’s gone rogue, and he’s starting to think of her in a very nonprofessional way. In fact, he wants Tate like he wants his next breath, but he’s already risking his life and his career…does he need to put his heart in danger too?

*********************************

Dun, dun, dun! Let me know what you think!

I hope everyone has a wonderful spring weekend. Come back and play next week, where we will dance, sing, and try not to get voted off the island. Oh yeah, and win free books!
