Okay, so that sucked.
I got spoiled before I could watch, which was so incredibly devastating, that I skimmed and you know, I’m just going to have my own little version about how my most favorite season ever of Survivor ended, because my version sure as hell didn’t involve Parvati getting anywhere near that million. In my version, Cirie actually got some damn credit for how she played the game, she got her chance in front of the jury, and if, by some huge freaking cataclysmic mistake, she didn’t win the million, she sure as hell won the Viewer’s Choice (which was obviously only open to people who watched previous seasons, because they for damn sure didn’t watch the one I did. Not that I don’t love James, but he got that last time after a major blunder, and this time after going out on injury and not playing the rest of the game, so….really, America? Really? ) And, so, I understand that in the parallel universe that is reality, it didn’t go down my way. Not even a little. So I’m just going to ignore it. And that’s three hours of my life I don’t have to waste and can use writing. Sometimes it’s good being a fiction writer and being able to make up stuff. Really good. La la la la la……
Dancing With The Stars…
I felt the same about Jason/Edtya - he’s kind of Johnny One Note for me. Graceful for a tall guy, and goodness knows he’s nice to look at, but I don’t feel anything watching them dance.
Same for Mark/Kristi - easily the most technical dances of the evening and incredibly well performed. But I find myself in awe of them for their technical achievements, but feeling nothing for them as a couple or as performers.
I thought Marissa/Tony greatly improved this week. She was a much better technical dancer than ever before and the segment picking on Tony was hilarious. Loved that! She’s still in this, and now, deservedly so.
Interestingly, the couple I enjoyed the most and as the most sincerely captivated by was Cheryl/Christian. He’s a good looking guy, but now he’s just all kinds of hot on the dance floor for me. I think it’s because Cheryl has had to really pull out all the choreography stops for them, but his arm is definitely not slowing them down. Easily my faves of the night in terms of joy of watching.
I realize the judges favor Kristi and Jason, but for me, the entertainment of the show is with Marissa and Christian. I’d have, once again, chosen Marissa to leave this week, but she danced better this week, as well as maintained a great performance. So, honestly, if I could just get rid of who I like to watch the least? I’d send Jason home. Sorry, big guy!
What about you? Now’s your chance to dish!
Don’t forget the SHaQ Attack contest this week - see yesterday’s post for details.

I’m in complete agreement with you! From night one it was Christian and Cheryl with the hot factor for me. Kristi and Mark are to technical. I think she was the ace in the hole for them. While Jason and Edyta are good - I feel I’ve seen all they can deliver. Marissa, I just love her and Tony both. He honestly looks thrilled to be dancing with her each week. Love him for that alone. Still rooting for Christian, one arm and all!
I just yelled ‘NO’ at the TV when Parvati won. I don’t know what game the 5 who voted for her were in!
I’m in complete agreement with you about DWTS.
I agree completely about DWTS. Christian was smokin!!! And I loved how Tom was teasing Cheryl about her first dress. And I’m totally torn after seeing Christian in two very differant outfits this week. He just looked so yummy (although my 6yo kept saying gross during his Samba–what does she know) in both. I’m thinking he could win this now.
Marissa is just so adorable and I don’t want her to leave yet. Tony is so proud of her and it really shows. I’m beginning to think he has know idea how really cute he is.
And I don’t understand the judges giving Jason such high marks on his Paso Doble (or however you spell it) I actually gave up watching it to clean off the grill. He really looked awkward. His first dance was much better.
I dunno…I think Cheryl tries waaay to hard. Kind of all manic all over the place. I enjoy watching her and Christian ( especially last night’s open shirt dance!), but they just don’t thrill me.
I hope Marissa stays another week. I totally admire what she is doing and she has improved so much. And Tony? More of his personality has emerged this season. I am liking them, even though I know they won’t possess the coveted mirror-ball trophy!
Personally, I enjoy watching Kristi and Mark the most. They are my choice. But, I just don’t find myself with a real strong preference as I have in the past seasons.
Am I becoming jaded??? HORRORS!!!
One bright spot was that Maks announced on Good Morning America today that he will return next season!
I love Cristian and Cherly - he is so hot, got a super personality and can dance.
I dont really care out of the other 3 who goes but I guess Kristy is the best; Jason was stiff in my opinion and looked very awkward doing the Paso.
I too yelled No when Parvati won - she is a phony - I just hate the way she speaks - almost like a Valley Girl. I was surprised that Erik changed his mind and voted for Amanda. We know Ozzie voted for her too and who else I wonder. I wish they would tell you how the votes went. I couldnt believe Oz’s speech about falling in love with Amanda. Wow.
Cirie I didnt care for, she just laid back, laid out the ground work for the others to instigate; was she afraid to do it herself? And why I wonder? To stay under the radar. Glad that bit.. Natalie left. Really hated her.
I was shocked when Parvati won. and some of the sore losers on the jury shocked me. I thought for sure Cirie would get the money for the best player.
I thought Ozzy was so sweet about Amanda.
On dancing I am with Kristi. Jason is pretty to look at but doesn’t to much actual dancing. Christian has really pulled it out with just one arm. Sorry I am not a Marissa fan. I think either her or Jason should go.
I swore I’d never watch survivor again after that fiasco - WHAT WAS EVERYONE THINKING!!!!!!!!! I almost swallowed my tongue when the P said she thought she was a good role model OMG. I get way too emotional over these shows. I totally agree with what you said. Kristi was my pick from the beginning but I must say, Christian has my pick at the moment! Now on to Idol…
Ok that sounded confusing when I went from survivor on the Dancing but I’m sure you guys knew what I meant lol.
