Sneaky Cirie…and SHaQ Attack Friday!

First, I will announce our fabulous winner for the innaugural SHaQ Attack Week….and the prize goes to…Karen G! All of you rocked MY vote by being way too good at this scavenger thing. I will conspire with my roomies at the writers retreat this weekend (and don’t you know that redhead is a sneaky one!) and we’ll see what I can come up with for Monday! Ha! We’ll see how well you do then!

Edited to add…the answer! LOL The story that featured the daughter of a former president was…Close Quarters (in the Yours 2 Keep anthology from Bantam), the Bonus Answer was Veronica Rourke.

Survivor MAC…

Now…does anyone still think Cirie isn’t playing the hell out of this game? Come on now, she totally masterminded Courtney’s ouster last night. Awesome play. I am a bit worried that she’s alienating votes on the jury, but she has to get rid of her own one way or the other…and if she plays the way her teammates want her to play, the best she can do is fourth. Maybe third. Girl is playing for first, y’all.

It was a good episode. Loved her catching the fish. It scares me to think that Shane actually has a REAL BlackBerry at home. What does he do again? Wonder what drives him to his knees in tears next week? It could be something to do with his son…or peanut butter. Hard call.

And was it me, or was it weird how they handed out the car this time? Almost off hand. And it didn’t seem to be a topic back at camp. I’m assuming the rest of the tribe knows he got a vehicle after they left, but I thought a bigger deal would be made out of it, since it seems it would only paint an even bigger target on Terry’s oh-so-privileged back. Just me? Maybe. There might not be a bigger target than the one already there.

But, back to Cirie. I love it that Shane and Terry think they’re running things in their respective alliances…and here comes Cirie, wanting what she wants and finding a way to make it happen. And if they can convince Shane it wasn’t their fault? Awesome. Of course, when they boot his behind, he might get a tad suspicious, but it will keep him in line until then anyway.

So….enjoy your weekend, BB’s! I will report back on the all the Harpers Ferry doins’ upon my return. Perhaps with pictures…if I am organized enough. :)

  1. Yup, Cirie was gooood. I was hoping to see Aras’ ass booted.

You have to give Terry credit even tho he is annoying - winning 4 immunities in a row. He is guar. a final 4. Preety good.

There is no one is this game left that I can say I would really like to see win. But there is no one that I would like to see really NOT win either. Not one of their best seasons. Johnny Fairplay and Boston Rob I hated.

Yes, re the car, it was different. They have to do some diff. things to spice up the game.

    P. S. Make the scavenger hunt a bit easier. LOL.
I wasnt even sure of the question last time. LOL. What was the answer???????????????

  2. Congrats to Karen G!

Good move on Cirie’s part! And like Pat said you have to give Terry some credit for winning 4 immunities. Apparently the people that vote in those polls that they advertise before they run commercials like him. He has won several…last night it said he was voted Most Dependable, I believe.

Have a great time at the conference! I ordered a book to be signed by you the other day…hopefully my order went through!

  3. Congratulations Karen G.

Oh, and I read your answer on Jill’s blog about weird things - I find nothing weird about a fan blowing every night all year round - I do it too. Can’t sleep without it.

Have fun today. I forgot all about it, hope I can still get something ordered.

  4. I justwanted to tell you that I finished Babd boys in Kilts this week and I loved it. I cannot wait for Dylan’s story. (I wrote about it on my blog) Thanks.

  5. Cirie is sneaky and cunning; did you see her couple of smirks last night? Me not like!!!

  6. Cirie is my favourite. I missed last night’s ep. What can I say - It’s the Hockey playoffs!

It’s Hockey all the time at my house (Go SENS, HABS, OILERS & FLAMES!).

I must say that I do truly enjoy the next day MACs, not being in charge of the TV is Teh SUX0R5! (sorry, channelled my wee cousin there)…

I liked how Cirie showed she had game, but really wanted Aras gone. Maybe next week.

  12. Cirie was awesome. SHe plays it so low key and has that trust me look going for her. Shane is bizarre…
I was glad to see Bruce up and about. I too was wishing Aras would be sent home. He is just annoying

  13. I was glad to see Bruce on the jury, too! I forgot to mention that.

    As for sports -

GO WIZARDS!! Woot! Tied up the series. (Sorry, LeBron. I love you, man, think you’re beyond amazing, but I have to root for the home team.)

NFL Draft…Reggie Bush second? Really? Hunh.

Thank you all for the BB in Kilts kudos! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. And yes, Dylan gets his own book next March - THE GREAT SCOT! Check out my reader letter on my homepage (link at right) to catch an advance peek of the back cover copy for that book.
