How…unfun.
You completely switch up tribes after ten days, and it’s still, like, the least entertaining hour ever. No fun to be found. Anywhere. How is that even possible. Oh yeah, it’s Survivor Season 112. Or it just feels like it. My love is fading rapidly.
And right off we’re reminded that Randy is the most miserable person to ever draw breath. So I hated, truly, that he did something productive. I would love a new reality program called Misery Loves Company, that starts by putting Randy, Amazing Race Terrance, and Top Design Eddie, all on a desert island together. Then we add a new miserable reality cast off weekly. Seriously, that? I would watch.
So, okay, Randy, miserable. The new tribe pick, unremarkable. Jeff Probst, so clearly into his Kota-worship that it’s not even remotely entertaining. (Jeff, Ken picked Kelly so he could sway her to his side, even I could figure that out, and I’m not standing a mere ten feet away.) His other option being Bob, who, great, but not a physical powerhouse, either. Also, Jeff? Coming in to tonight, Kota lost immunity once, Fang lost twice, not ten times in a row. Shut up.
Then we did go to tonight’s immunity and it was just sad, sad, sad. I had no one to root for and realized that I honestly didn’t care. About anyone. We need someone to root for. Oh, and by the way Ace, interesting how you have your accent one moment, quite a strong one, actually, old chap, then it mysteriously and completely vanishes for long stretches. Hunh.
Mostly I just want to care. And I don’t. What should have been this really great and exciting episode….wasn’t. At all. At any point. That takes a remarkable lack of everything to pull off.
Oh yeah, and they voted Jackie off, which, I get the worrying about the risk, Sugar with the idol, the fact that she sleeps with Ace, as does Sugar, and Jackie herself alluded to the fact that it was a wise decision on their part in her departure speech, meaning she’d have turned on them on a dime. So….yeah. Except, wow, now you have Kelly instead. Who I was really happy to see get a second chance to shine. And then so…didn’t. And seriously, Kelly, read a room. Turning on Crystal? Not wise, my little blond friend.
So, right, tune in next week when GC wanders off (probably hanging out with the camera crew, and, honestly, I can’t even blame him at this point) and then we watch Kota kick some more ass, listen to Randy be an absolutely horrible human being while winning, and….uh, why are we watching this again?
Fortunately, there was a Grey’s Anatomy on last night, too. Swish, gurgle, rinse, repeat. Ahhh. Much more refreshed now. Great hour. Good character development. Good writing. That’s entertainment.
What’s even more fun? Free stuff. The SHaQ Attack contest involved sending me an email with a certain subject line, that’s it. And from the pile o’ entries, we have a winner. Blog Babe , Minna, come on down!
I hope everyone enjoy’s their three day weekend. Tune in next Tuesday for more MAC, more SHaQ, and some pics of my last booksigning! Hey, at least we’re having more fun than Randy.
Oh, yeah…..DISH!!

I unfortunately have to agree with everything you said.
Congratulations, Minna!
