Sorry about the delay.
First up, yesterday’s SHaQ Attack contest result. The question was: What village do the Chisholm brothers call home. The answer is Glenbuie. This week’s winner is Rebecca N! Woo hoo!!!
Tune in next week for a new contest.
Now, for some Big Brother MAC. Hmmm… I can say I’m happy that it’s not All Stars and we get all new faces. Not sure I’m loving the faces we’re getting, but time will tell.
The house is very Alice in Wonderland, with a bedroom full of oversized furniture and a bedroom full of tiny furniture, and lots of mirrors in all shapes and colors of glass. And topiary. Let’s not forget the topiary.
We meet 11 of our hamsters and into their cage they go. Then we discover there are 3 additional hamsters already in the house in a room upstairs. This would be this season’s Big Twist. Which is all about trapping three of the poor, poor hamsters with someone from their past they aren’t particularly anxious to ever see again.
First up we get Joe and Dustin, who were a couple until Dustin gave Joe the clap and Joe systematically destroyed all of Dustin’s friendships. Yes. Lovely couple.
Next we get Jessica and Carol, who, as far as I can tell, were some kind of high school rivals but have been in college for several years now and…well, I don’t really get it, but whatever.
Lastly, however, we have a father and his estranged daughter. Not real keen on this being played out against their knowledge on reality tv. I mean, the other two pairs can walk away and never see each other again, but this is messing with family. So, no, not really enthused by this pairing. Less so when we meet waiflike daughter Danielle and her Tommy Lee-slash-Keith Richards dad, who goes by the lovely moniker (which he invites you to use) Evil Dick.
It’s too easy. I can’t go there.
So, it’s early yet. I don’t know most of them. Maybe when it narrows down. And oh yeah, the extra three hours a night on Showtime? My god, who has the time to watch that? It’s not an edited program, it’s just the cameras on the house hammies as they interact. It’s interesting for like five minutes, especially as it’s unedited and uncensored, so you get a definite idea of what each hammy is like. Maybe when there are fewer and the strategy kicks in, it will be worth skimming.
I hope everyone enjoys their weekend! I’ll be back Tuesday morning with a new SHaQ Attack contest. And Dance is back next week - woot!
