Grand Canyon…Day 2

Unbelievable day!  Started with a helicopter ride through the canyon, then out to Hermit’s Rest. I’ll just let the photos do the talking. Scroll for a brief gallery of today’s adventures. If only they could begin to do it justice!

The Colorado River, helicopter view.

So many colors…

Me & Youngest…and the View!

Majestic Elk…(thank goodness I had my good camera with the zoom!)

Spectacular moment, and that backdrop!

I love the ravens!

Just a boy…and his elk.

The Colorado…and a condor nest. (In that black hole in the rock face. I need a pointer!)

Mountain Bluebird…

A new vista around each corner…

On top of the world!

Next stop? Sedona!

Clearly making your dreams come true!
Enjoy Sedona. Get some great crystals for your enrichment!

  4. Now there’s a place I need to visit!

  5. One of the fascinating things I learned is the Colorado isn’t getting any deeper. It’s running over the hardest rock imaginable and can’t scour it away. The only way the canyon can get any larger is eroding wider and up river…We traveled the 1000 mile National Park loop starting at the canyon which is the lowest point. The elevation climbed from there to Bryce Canyon at 9,000 feet with the rock being the softest and youngest!

  6. I want to see the mini that you build to hold all these fabulous pictures!
